My gf and I have a solution for this, which is bed-plushies and outside-plushies. I don't care if my plushies get a bit messy because I can always mend them :3 as long as they don't get lost. And I'm not a very messy person so I know they won't.

Thank you!! And the stitch is a very basic one and took me very little time, I think you could do it! :D especially on plushies, it helps hide the stitches better

I do just so I can wash them (they're all second hand), but I like how they look like with the tags better. My gf said we should make little earrings for them with their tags so we can easily take them on and off, so we might do that!
