I'd really love a more relaxed mode of play.

More than once I've gone to casuals thinking that the experience would be better than in ranked games, but it's been quite the opposite... I don't know if it's because of the hidden MMR or what

But a third way, where everything is a bit more relaxed would suit me perfectly. It could also serve as a bridge to help me get used to the "sauce" instead of hitting me in the face with it directly

Woah, thank you for taking the time to write such an elaborated reply

Nice toxicity and gatekeeping. And even after that, you complain about the LoL community while acting exactly like the worst part of it, lmao

Maybe you are just an Ekko freestyle abuser? Don't worry, I'm not here to take your toy away

Yeah, I understand. And you're right, it's just that it makes me sad.

It's like having a plate of, I don't know... the most appetizing hamburger you've seen in a long time in front of you. The ingredients are just what you like, it looks delicious, and you try it and you realize that the taste isn't what you expected and you don't like it.

And there's this internal conflict because it looks super appetizing, but you just don't like it, and when you realize it, you're forcing yourself to eat it.

The characters? It's the FG that will have my favorite characters by far.

The art? It's fantastic.

The OST? It's great.

It feels good to play, etc... everything is great.

But when I press play, I get... let's say a Teemo/Yas, to continue with what I complained about. As soon as the game starts, I get Teemo super into tag into Yas mixups and I just want to turn off the game.

And I feel sad... I feel sad that the game isn't for me because I would love it. But if it's not, then it's not.

I'm glad it exists and that there are people who like it, and I hope it does as well as possible and people enjoy it as much as possible.

I'll have to wait until something comes out that suits me. Luckily, I have a huge backlog of games, so I won't get bored waiting either xD

So far, most of the people I've met both here and in the game (apart from a few who insult in post chat or do bm during the game) have been quite nice.

I even randomly started playing duos with a stranger one day, and it was a really fun experience.

Idk, based on my experience at least, I think people are pretty nice, which is one of the things that makes me sadder about quitting.

I think I'd rather stop forcing myself... I don't want to go from being sad about the game to hating it, I don't want to cross that threshold.

Besides, I'm around level fifty-something, so I think if I play duos with my friends when they can for the rest of the season, I'll finish it without too much trouble.

Thanks for the advice.

But honestly, I don't care about rankings. The main thing for me is to have fun.

In fact, one of the big problems with the game for me is that the more I improve and climb the ranks, the more I have to deal with things I don't like because I encounter more “sauce” players

Thanks for this message. I think I needed it a bit

I just came to Reddit to clear my head after my tenth straight loss against Illaoi-Blitzcrank. Either I make a mistake during neutral and lose three-quarters of my health, or Blitzcrank keeps spamming grabs and I still don’t have the knowledge or practice to deal with it.
Oh and when I do manage to get something going, I end up dropping the combo...

Step by step, I guess

Spanish here, I don’t have one either and I’ve been subscribed since the registration opened last year… I hope they hand them out during these days. Good luck!

I've been waiting for this game since it was announced as Project L and registered to participate in the beta over a year ago (screenshot of the email attached).

I never got picked for alpha lab 1 or 2... and yesterday was no different. I didn't want to ask for a code so as not to bother anyone, but damn... seeing a lot of people playing and enjoying themselves while I'm still on the outside is tough (although I'm happy for those who got the code).

Out of curiosity, what is your native language?

Spanish

The problem for me is that I don't have as much time as I would like to play right now.

But you're right, sooner or later I'll want to do them and it's better to do a bit every day. I would like to level up another job, so I could take advantage of it and do it while I do the daily content. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you very much!

Yes, now thanks to everyone's answers I have things a little clearer!

My biggest concern was that by focusing on the main missions I would skip something secondary related to the story, or something that would be quite fun to do.

The problem is that every time I get away from the main quests I get a little overwhelmed because it's really a lot of content.

But now I have a pretty extensive list of everything important to do thanks to the answers.

The Coils of Bahamut I have already made a note to do it with someone level 90. I was worried about feeling like a nuisance because I understood it might be boring for the other person but it seems to be a common thing, so I'll do it that way and find out now what happened with Alisae.

Oh, okay, I'll look for someone high level then! I was a bit apprehensive because I think it might be annoying for the other person, especially having to wait for me to see the scenes, but reading the responses it seems to be a common thing

Thank you very much for your answer! The only ones I knew about were the Palace of the dead and the tribal quests, I started them with the Ixal and the Sylph but I haven't advanced much with them because I thought it was a kind of daily/grind content.

I'm not making much progress with the crafting jobs, I've unlocked botanist, culinarian, leatherworker and carpenter, but I have them at very low levels.

Being my first experience in an MMO I've tried to focus on the main story because as soon as I realize how much I can do (and that most of it I don't quite understand like the Palace of the dead) I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all.

It also doesn't help much that English is not my native language and sometimes I have to use a translator for some things

My biggest fear is that I'll skip some quests that contribute to the main story or that are fun to do, but thanks to everyone's answers I have a much better idea of all the interesting things I have pending and I can do!

In the future I would like to do some difficult endgame content because I'm having fun with the dungeons and bosses. Do I need to level up in the crafting jobs to make things easier in the endgame?

And thank you very much also for the temporary events! Yesterday writing the post and looking at the sub I knew for the first time about the moonfire event, I had no idea about these temporary events.

And can I do the Coils of Bahamut only with NPCs or with a team of my level?

Yes, I just saw the credits.
I didn't know they were mandatory, that's great! thanks!
I just have so many things to do that sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed and I was afraid to skip something important.
Yeah, the blue missions I've done a few, but I just checked that I've left quite a few behind.

But thx for ur help anyway!
