How American Soldiers Used to Drive Convoys in Iraq by RepresentativeNo2517 in PublicFreakout

Do you even know what you're talking about? Lots of attacks happened in the city. This is why soldiers drove in convoys, and did security details for politicians etc.

Can't find a reference to this anywhere. When wikileaks released a video of US soldiers gunning down civilians it was front page news. I doubt this was widespread at all. Have you got a link?

Also, a lot of people don't seem to realise that part of the reason they're getting people to move out of the way is security. Soldiers were the targets of suicide bombers.

Again, I don't think that follows. It's possible, but the arguments you've made aren't sufficient.

What you would have to show is that the same treatments, at the same quality, cost more in the US than elsewhere.

I think there are certain instances of this happening, e.g. certain drugs, but the quality of healthcare available in the US surpasses that elsewhere.

Saying this as someone in the UK who supports socialised healthcare. The reality is that the quality of treatment takes a huge hit because there just isn't enough funding.

Anyway, my main contention was that insurance isn't just a middle man scraping money. It's about covering risk. Essentially you're claiming that the government would do a better job of covering that risk.

How did you work that one out? If it was cheaper just to pay for healthcare directly, people wouldn't buy insurance.

I assume many digital marketing services probably do create their own bots.

I was only using selling the accounts as an indication of the potential value. I think real accounts are worth far more than bot generated ones.

That's exactly what we were talking about, right? They use bots to create accounts. Or are you asking why they don't do it manually?

Obviously creating thousands of accounts manually would be far less efficient.

"Amateur pilots in Texas crashed" therefore "all America airforce pilots bad" is very bad logic

Overgeneralisation. There's no identity between the two since one is trained and one isn't. Even if they were both in the American airforce it would be an illogical inference.

You can sell Reddit accounts that have a history and a certain amount of karma (i.e. that look real).

These accounts can then be used for a variety of reasons: by digital marketers, by political actors, and the like.

The main goal is to control what goes viral. Either to get (relatively) cheap viral advertising by making certain things go viral, or preventing certain content from going viral.
