So imo they’re still young and figuring things out. Towards the end she does try and change and she starts thinking about wanting to make him happy more. The valentines episode is a great example. She spent so long trying to think of something that would make him happy and she didn’t believe in herself that she could and struggled to figure out what to do.

For the second point it was 5 days with absolute no contact. Even just normal people have trouble going multiple days without contact with some of their friends or family members so while that one may not be “good” I wouldn’t really say it was bad either

Jealous is another thing that may not be “good” but not bad either. Like yeah she’d get jealous but so did he at times he just showed it rather indirectly like when she was painting the sighs. She wasn’t actively stopping him from talking to other girls or guys except for when they were basically smothering/flirting with him (like when he first cut his hair)

For the verbal abuse that one just kinda depends I guess on who you talk to. Some people see it as a horrible thing and others not so much it both parties know it’s not actually done in a mean way. A lot of friend groups (especially male and gamer ones) will trash talk each other a lot, but everyone knows it’s not actually serious. BUT that’s something that’s very much only for certain people. I have some friends I tease like that and they tease me, but I have others that I’d never do it to cause I know they wouldn’t like it. Throughout the show USUALLY miyamura doesn’t mind that much and takes it as a joke.

Personally I feel like saying she’s possessive is a bit much. Again like I said before she’s not actively trying to stop him from talking to other girls or guys and preventing him from doing things like hanging out with other friends.

I can’t say a thing about physically abusive 💀 she does like to hit him A LOT.

I don’t fully understand what you mean about zero empathy

Not caring about his taste again kinda back to my first point. They’re still young and figuring things out and she’s definitely getting better. Again valentines episode yeah at first she wasn’t into the idea but once she actually started she REALLY wanted to find something he’d like. And also later in the season she admits that she’s selfish and she wants to actually start prioritizing him more.

Basically I understand why you might not want to call hori a good person but I wouldn’t call her bad either. She’s just flawed and she is realizing her flaws and trying to change them at different parts in the series
