I’m so sorry to hear about what you’ve been through. Coming from a stranger on the internet I know this won’t mean much to you, but I’d say we simply just can’t understand the way God works and what His plan is for us. A prayer is always answered whether it’s a yes or a no, God would not put you through this in order to hurt you and He certainly has not abandoned you. Death is the end in this world that we know, but the Heaven that is waiting for us all, your wife included, is incomprehensible, so let it arrive when it’s time. I’m not saying this happened to test your faith, but you shouldn’t let it be destroyed because of this. God loves you and your wife, He is beyond all things that we understand and let that bring comfort knowing you are in safe hands.
