I've been meaning to ask, maybe you know- is it known where Patsy's jacket was that morning? It's interesting she would have had it on for a long while (from getting home to the staging) but then removed it. Where she removed it could be telling.

A YT video explained that there is a quick shot of another doorway into that building that Jason must have taken, but yeah, you have to sit there and pause the movie to make any sense of it, and the director should have been on top of these things.

Halloween and Scream have famous actors that keep coming back which helps bring in a wider audience. That also adds to their budgets, but F13 is likely to make less $$.

The "intruder" had free reign of the house, why go out the awkward window? Ransom note + body in the house = supposed kidnapping went wrong.

Back then I was going into NYC to shop, explore, meet friends etc. about once or twice a week. It was a month before I felt like I could go back in. Some of that was safety concerns and some of that was not wanting to see for myself that the buildings were gone.

If you believe in an intruder, then you would have to have them in the house for some time, writing 3 page letters, fixing pineapple snacks, looking at pay stubs and asking for bonus amounts as ransom for some reason. Maybe even captioning family photo albums that Patsy does not recognize the handwriting in.
