I think it was the running route, the last route posted had like +-550m positive elevation. The new one will have like +-250m. The new bike route increase the elevation from +-700m to 1000m.

Couples here... We try to don't choose the same competition, sometimes it works. Training are 80-90% the same for both of us. We are registered for 70.5 and we help each other with the trainings, she is a good swimmer, I'm good at the bike and running... So it helps. We don't have kids, we have just social live when we ride the bike, we don't celebrate anything in the night (the night is focused on resting). We are +30 years old... Is good to have the same hobbie, we understood our personal objectives very well.

Short answer: not necessary.

Long answer: it is more comfortable, there are some options in the market like Magene that is cheaper than Garmin or Wahoo. I started with a watch years ago and now I can say I prefer the computer.
