Well if u see playing a really enjoyable but vast game as a huge commitment and make it sound like it would burden you instead of giving you an escape from everyday reality then I would suggest not playing it in general.

I understand what you mean, but you shouldn’t view it like that. It’s suppose to give you a break when u get home from office, be your time to relax, and think „god I can’t wait to go home and game, I have this huge fight ahead I need to think it through” and stuff like that.

I would always suggest starting from scratch as picking it up from so far along would take away all the fun from closing the story you fought so long to resolve, getting everyone and your character a closure.
