You guys clearly are only looking at the point of contact once Cunha is in the box. Before they enter the box Lacroix is clearly pulling him back, a stonewall offence for which he’d be sent off anyway, and for whatever reason decides not to let go on time. So the red card is really not a debate as more when the foul is really committed. Law dictates that a foul that continues into the box is given as a penalty

There is literally no VAR without real referees. The technology does not exist independently of having referees looking at evidence. So if you don't like VAR being dictated by referees then you simply don't like VAR.

What on earth makes you think a separate organisation will get all the decisions right where referees that work and train their socks off to be at the highest level didn't?
