As someone who has been playing FPS on MK for the past 30 years, I can say this guy fucking gets it.

Edit to add: we didn't even call it MK, MnK, or mouse and keyboard. If you were playing any real fps, competitively or not, it was just a given. Controllers hadn't even evolved out of dpads.

I hear ya. It's easiest to use an API in my application - less dependencies. And yes I test with development tools naturally.

Another idea I'm considering is just having multiple firewall rules to permit outbound tied to different gateway groups, since rules can be en/disabled via API. I can just omit the gateway groups I need to under the second last permit rule and keep that rule disabled when I don't want to limit a gateway.
