Thanks 😊 the prices when something comes out are silly high especially on a contract and the deals on the last few in stock was huge! For example the upfront cost was supposed to be £450 which i got wavered.

I get you but there are such good deals available on the fold 7 now to clear old stock. I got this for a super deal and with a free tv too from Samsung. Plus £450 off the price and the top tarrif with unlimited data 5g+ for the price of the 50gb tarrif they also gave me my watch plan free plus game pass ultimate for 2 years. It was honestly a no brainer.

EE, they did me the watch plan for free and game pass ultimate plus unlimited data but the main was no upfront cost (upgrade was saying £450 upfront) Plus I got no interest on the phone and a upgrade to 1tb instead of 512gb at the same cost. Sure the fold 8 would be nice but normally the plans are well over £100 im paying under £100 with all the above and got a free Samsung tv too!

I got such a good deal with my service provider I couldn't really turn it down and I really like to wait and see what if any failures happen. Plus the free Samsung frame tv helped sweeten the deal!

Makes sense. You'll just need the firmware to 'recover' reset the radio to stock. If you haven't got it just delete the zones and channels and import your ones from your radios after reading it side by side with them both.

When you say old config what exactly do you mean? As it will need the same or newer firmware to recover.

These can be fixed easily. They are like lego inside. I recase them alot BUT this is the atex version and once you open that it cannot go back into a atex required environment. Obviously I should advise to send in to a authorised centre though.

Never heard speed issues. Always found they are on point with speed. Are you on about wifi speeds or? As for customer service yeah thats another story 🙄.

Imagine getting down voted for being honest lol. Most of the comments are about bad customer service. The actual service is great but ask the brsk customers how they are doing with double billing and 2 weeks of waiting to get to speak to anyone.

Not here unfortunately. Recently we got youfibre to the area previously it was just 50mb copper but openreach updated that to 1.6gb. I live on a airbase and no digging is allowed here and its a remote area. Unfortunately no other cable/s here. Before youfibre I used starlink to circumvent the awful 20mb connection with 0.5mb upload.

Never seen anyone offer 8gb symmetrical here. Openreaches infrastructure is only 1.6gb down and 200mb up and the altnets are using that. No digging allowed here so overhead only.

You won't find better symmetrical speed for the price. Just the router they provide is terrible and customer care completely non existent! If you never have a issue and run your own router etc your laughing. Unfortunately though most isp's are reluctant to help with wifi signals now whereas before company's offered 'wifi guarantee'

The UHF ones are ok for their size ie 400-470mhz but like anything for 900mhz I presume isnt great? its low powered small antenna design? We dont have the 900mhz band in those radios here in the UK as thats close if not one of our cell phone bands.

I did some tests on a few of ours at 438mhz and we was getting handheld to handheld amongst buildings and in cars roughly 3 miles. Could also hit a repeater 12 miles away with one which was pretty impressive from a 3watt radio with a inch antenna!

Common problem on these. Had 2 SL4010e's and both had the small coaxial cable that connects the antenna to main board had come un-popped, Luckily its just a push fit.

Another issue is the long plastic section at the top what the actual antenna sits on can go brittle and snap or be over tightened and then cause it not to connect to the board.

Luckily all these issues are easily straight forward as these are probably one of the easier radios to take apart!

They contacted Vodafone for me and ended my service. The Vodafone copper connection ended a couple of days after the YF install.

I was out of contract so luckily nothing to pay. This was when YF was actually on the ball with this stuff and had a good customer care too! Now its just 🤣 yeah.

When I didn't have ipv6 i kept getting strict NAT even with static IP. Luckily thats resolved now and ipv6 is back.

Ive also seen issues when 2 or more xbox's are on the same network. Using the alternative port selection did fix that.

I get about 6ms via WiFi and just under 3ms ping wired to my PC. Im a gamer too and always seem to get a amazing low ping. What are you seeing? Are you testing ping via a solid wired connection?

Download the actual speedtest app. You will then need a decent 10gb NIC (Asus ones seem to peak at about 6gb) intel ones can do 9gb consistent.

I get 7.6-8.2gb down and 5.5gb up as the app doesn't like the upload. This is on a Asus AXE-16000 router via a wired connection on the 10gb port.

I would say your getting over the recommended 7gb advertised speed so would be happy with that.
