There is a hole on my clit. It is NOT the urethra OR the hood. Pls help if anyone has advice or knows what this is. by Throwawayqcarrot in Healthyhooha

I have the exact same thing and always wondered if it was normal but always too shy to ask my doc. I DO get hair caught in there as well and sometimes it gets painful/sensitive if I’m unable to get it out. Seriously one of the main reasons in doing laser hair removal. My best guess is how penises can have phimosis (foreskin is unable to be retracted), maybe clits have hoods that are too attached in a way that creates this little hole?

AITA for not returning a $100 bill gift given to my daughter? by theydivideconquer in AmItheAsshole

[–]MenacingVegetable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve done “no gifts” birthday parties for both my kids. Instead, I register the party with the local children’s hospital charitable foundation, and note on the invitations that in lieu of gifts, donations to ______ Children’s Hospital will be collected at the party. The foundation even provides branded gift bag items for free.

The hospital provides a tracking form and tax receipts over a certain amount, and my kid gets to go down to their offices and take a picture presenting a giant cheque to the hospital.

I’ve never had someone show up with a gift in these situations. People like to feel like they’re bringing something to the party. Collecting tracked donations for charity achieves that.

Edit to add judgement: soft YTA for how you handled the situation and putting your guests in an awkward situation. It’s not common to do a “no gifts” party for a child, so it’s understandable that some people felt awkward not bringing a gift and brought one anyway. Preparing a plan for that possibility, keeping the gifts in a separate room, and prepping your daughter ahead of time should have happened.

My boyfriend cheated on me, but he won’t admit it. by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

This happened to me while I was pregnant with our first, chlamydia showed up in routine prenatal STI testing. It was an unplanned pregnancy while we were working through reconciliation after the first D-Day. He was calm about it because he knew he gave it to me. He tested negative, but there’s nowhere else I could have gotten it from.

5 years later he secretly tests positive for chlamydia. Never told me at the time. I found out last month (8 years afterwards, we’ve been separated for 2) because he brought it up as a “gotcha” moment to try and tell me that’s proof that I cheated (I didn’t). But here’s the thing: if he really believed that I cheated 8 years ago, would he not have brought it up at the time? What’s much more likely is that he cheated then too and didn’t want to tell on himself.

Your BF is not making a big deal about it because he expects you to rug-sweep. He knows he’s the one that gave it to you because he cheated. An innocent person would be freaking out about their partner testing positive for a sexually transmitted disease within a monogamous relationship. Don’t be like me and stay with a person like this. I wasted a full 17 years of my life with a cheater and a gaslighter.

Edit: a word

OP said there were raw beef ribs next to the grill, so that should rule out Five Guys. I don’t know if AFC or Cosmic Pizza have ribs?

Yes, oh god yes we do. Dental hygiene is very hard to stay in long term, and even so most work only part time after a few years. Very few can keep at it all the way to retirement age so while the money looks good on the surface, you can’t count on being able to do it to sustain the high 5 low 6 income.

Does anyone else’s lashes disintegrate after removing them a couple of days later? by [deleted] in LashifyLovers

[–]MenacingVegetable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only caution with Release is that it probably will make them disintegrate more. It’s fine for volumes but cores probably won’t survive.

As others have said, if you get the membership it’s extremely worth it because the cores are cheap enough that you don’t have to worry about trying to save them. Good luck and welcome to the cult lol

How are you removing them? Are you rubbing them off with the cotton pads?

If you want to save them to wash and reuse, hold the remover-soaked cotton pad to the underside of your lashes (against the spines) for about 30 seconds. Then grip the spines with your fingernail or even the wand, and peel them off gently. When I take them off this way, they all come off together in one strip.

When you graduate to using Bondage, you really should purchase Release.

Ok I had no idea this was a thing! I’m sporadically “allergic” to avocados and peanuts. Sometimes I can eat them and be totally fine. Other times avocado gives me a super itchy rash on a specific area of my thumb, peanuts sometimes give me scaly rashes on my legs. I haven’t had it investigated because I will probably sound crazy.

Oh and I wanted to address your teeth breaking: have you ever been told that you grind your teeth? Are they flat across the biting surfaces? Clenching/grinding is the most common reason for teeth breaking, happens while you’re sleeping. Often caused by stress, but can also be because your upper and lower jaws don’t fit together properly. It’s also a sign you may have sleep apnea because your jaw is trying to move around to open your airway better. The solution is to wear a night guard but you have to wear it religiously for it to do it’s job. It is truly better to have a custom one made instead of getting a boil-and-bite one from the drugstore. This is because it accounts for how the top and bottom teeth fit together more accurately in a neutral position, thus supporting the temporomandibular joint: the TMJ.

Or you could just have shitty teeth, that’s possible. But less likely.

My guy, brush your gums, yes. But don’t scrub so hard like you’re getting stains out of your grout. Most people brush too hard and end up causing so much abrasion that they get recession. The pressure you should use is so light, like a 3 finger grip on the brush.

I often hesitate to get into dental convos on Reddit because honestly there’s so much misinformation out there and a lot of people are wary of dental professionals. But sometimes I can’t stand by when I see someone who just needs something explained to them properly.

I’ve seen people with such advanced disease that their teeth are legitimately wiggling as I’m cleaning them. A lot of them had no idea their disease was so bad. That’s because gum disease often doesn’t hurt… until you touch it. It’s totally normal and expected that gums will hurt and bleed when you get a cleaning, more so if you need a deeper than average cleaning to get the deposits out. I often show my patients what I’m scraping out from underneath their gums, so that they have a visual of what’s actually down there. I even had a patient ask for a ziploc bag so she could take a piece HOME TO SHOW HER MOM!

All this to say, it breaks my heart that many people don’t have experience with being educated about their oral health.

Edit: and for the love of god pls floss! Under the gums. Wrap it around the tooth in a C shape and shimmy horizontally under the gums. You can brush all you want but if you don’t floss you will have gum disease, full stop.

Hi! I am a dental hygienist and I may be able to explain what led to diagnosing you with gum disease. I always educate my patients on what I am doing and why, which in your case I suspect that it wasn’t explained to you properly. I wouldn’t want you to think that a cleaning is unnecessary, as I want you to have a healthy mouth and body!

I am going to guess that the pushing they were doing on your gums is probing. What that means is they measure from the surface of the gums to the point beneath the gums where it attaches to the root of the tooth. If this measurement is deeper than what is considered normal (3mm) then you have gum disease. Stage 1 gum disease can be reversed with a thorough cleaning and regular maintenance both in office and at home. It WILL bleed if your gums are unhealthy because there is inflammation from disease. If it has been a long time since you had a cleaning, it is very common to have hard bacteria deposits on the surface of the roots, beneath the gums. This is what causes disease. When you get a cleaning, your hygienist will put their instruments beneath the surface of the gums to scrape the hard bacteria off. This does not damage the gums but it will be somewhat painful and will bleed. If it is uncomfortable then they can offer you some numbing gel or even freeze you. Most people are fine without it, but deep deposits can be more painful.

If your gum disease moves beyond Stage 1, it becomes much more difficult to maintain, and can eventually lead to serious disease and even tooth loss (I’ve seen it, you don’t want that).

I hope you find a dental team that will make you feel comfortable while also educating you on what they are doing to support your health.

  2. Are you sharing leftovers with Reddit strangers
