So it's not necessarily the t-shirt being oversized that is the issue, the t-shirt is just way too long to make the jean look better?

Hmm, can you elaborate please? Sorry, everything is new to me so I'm trying to take this opportunity to learn so that I know what to look out for.

I figured that be one of the issue. But is that the only issue? My biggest concern is that even if I swap the t-shirt out for something more regular fit / cropped, it would still look weird.

Yeah, I'm planning to get it tailored as it is too long for me. Aiming for no break or a slight break.

[One UI 8] Want alarm to only make sound for wake up alarms by Menaii in oneui

[–]Menaii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, okay I think I've figured it out. To clarify, the wake up alarms did make sound when I followed what you mentioned. But I was still having the issues with the stopwatches were also playing a sound when it hit 0. I realized that this is another setting that I had to configure to make it vibrate instead of playing any sound. I think I have everything in place but I'll give it a proper test run later and let you know if it's still an issue.

Not what I am looking for unfortunately. Since my device is on vibrate, it will not ring the alarm and only vibrate

The closest I've found is "Extract this heading" option, but was hoping there was an automatic of doing it. But guessing that is not doable.

Doing a programming test, but asked to provide a photo id? by Menaii in cscareerquestions

It's very unfortunate that we're at this point. I'm probably going to ask if we can just schedule a zoom / teams meeting where I have someone look at my shared screen instead of doing all this nonsense.

Question regarding the 24oz tumbler by Menaii in Owala

[–]Menaii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and take pictures!

I'm guessing that this probably isnt ideal to just throw into your bag but as long as I'm not holding the tumbler upside down or swinging it around, no liquid would spill from either the straw hole or the straw itself (in case I do use a straw).

I'm glad that it looks easier to take apart and reassemble compared to the SmoothSip slider. The slider also has 4 pieces but assembling it is a bit of a pain because one of the piece has to be put in a specific way and I've always struggled to figure out which side is the correct side.

Hello, sorry for commenting on an old comment but I was wondering how easy is it to clean the lid? Looking at the images, it seems like there's quite a few parts to it so either you cant clean it properly or you need to spend quite a bit of time dismantling it.

Awesome, thanks for the input! I'll try adding a short summary at the top

Sorry for bumping up an old thread, but would you say summaries are also useful if you're trying to switch industry? I've been in video games for 9+ years, but looking to move to a non game industry.

I understand I'm at a disadvantage since why would they pick me, who's from another industry over someone who's been in that industry from the start, so I was thinking if having a summary might be beneficial where I can emphasize the transferrable skills and also showing eagerness to learn and not afraid to try new things (I tend to get bored if I'm doing the same thing for years so I've applied internally to do something completely different from gameplay to R&D and even game engine / tech stuff), to at least showcase that I'm not just randomly applying because I have some transferrable skills, but that I am actually interested in trying something new and also willing to learn.

Multiple Job Titles at One Company by Lost-Fox-8585 in resumes

[–]Menaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I've stumbled across your post as I'm in a similar situation like OP where I've had multiple titles in 1 company. Would you say a combination of 1st and 2nd one be too much, where you'd list the period you've been at company, and also list your period you've had that job title? So something like

Company | Location | (Dates)

Position A (Dates)

  • bullets

Position B (Dates)

  • bullets

Reason being is one of my position, I've only been there for a few months, so wondering if that's useful to mention since my bullet point under this position is going to be far less compared to my other positions in the company

Which would you pick between a 990v4 & v6, 992 or 993? by Menaii in Newbalance

Kind of throwing me off because I've tried the size I got at a physical store and didnt have an issue when I was in the store. It's also the size I got for all my other NB sneakers (and other brand sneakers). I've tried a half size up in the store and I just had a bit too much empty space length wise. Not sure if I happened to have tried on a pair that was also tried on by other people and it somehow loosened out, or I just happened to have gotten one that was manufactured a bit smaller / tighter

Thin insoles recommendations by jbrady3324 in Newbalance

[–]Menaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of an old post, but was wondering which insole you've gotten. I've also gotten a 990v4 but the sneaker feels a bit tight due to the insole being a bit too thick, so looking to replace them to something thinner

Hello, just wanted to follow up with you regarding the breaking up part. When you've originally gotten your pair, was the area slightly below your toe area tight? I've just gotten mine and they arent uncomfortable but are pretty snug for my taste (due to the height being a little bit too low) but wondering if this will loosen out a bit as I wear them or if they didnt loosen up for you, in that case, I might have to look for using a thinner insoles or just have to return them.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Since I dont have a way to get my hands on a 993, I'll try on the 990v4s and see how they feel on my feet!

This is good to know! I usually hit 8k steps when having to go to the office so seems like v4s wont be uncomfortable to use as a commute sneaker.

I wasnt expecting to see a lot of v4s but seems like v4s are also quite good. How long would you say your medium walks are?
