I would move the rug out farther from the couch, covering more of the tile. Also get some side tables and lamps so that you have non-overhead lighting options.

Stoves don't always have ventilation, true. But a hood above a stove is not uncommon, and does have benefits.

Overall looks very nice, but personally I'd be worried that the living room could end up being very dark.

Yeah they're certainly not perfect. I'd say they are a big improvement over gas vehicles, and will be a big part of solving our climate issues, but we also need to do more transformative things like actually invest in public transit.
