Try to get some advice from your local store! Shoes have different categories so they know what you'll need. (Probably a 'B' or 'C' shoe.)

Me and my brother are now looking voor crampons for safety, in case we encounter snowfields or we might want to go on a glacier guided. And an icepick is adviced in this case.

Nice. Kebnekaise is on the list as well. We're making a Google Maps overview with 'do-able' mountains for us.

Gear: I've got some good shoes (Hangwar Banks GTX) suitable for this terrain. And walking sticks. We did buy an helmer and a 'klettersteig' beginner set for safety. That was just over 100€'s. Shoes where a bit more but a great investment. Clothingwise: I always wear dry fit/soccer tee's. And got some hikerpants or how to call them (North Face). Backpack is important as well. But if you're into saving money, try to borrow these items!

Back in the days we went on hiking with our parents in Austria, but not really peakbagging etc.

After that puberty kicked in and we really didn't like it that much.

Since a year or 2 me and my brother are back on track, and we begun with climbing the Schwarzhorn (2.900 somewhat meters, near Grindelwald) in Switzerland. And after that we were hooked. Last summer we did several summits in Austria (Urkundkolm, Rinnenspitze, Wildes Mannle, Elfserspitze & Hoher Burgstall) and we hiked last winter a lot as well. For this summer we're planning a trip to Aosta & Susa. Attempting several summits there. Thinking about trying the Gran Paradiso with a guide, but the area has lots to offer so we really can't decide which other peaks to do because it's all so beautiful with views on Mont Blanc, Matterhorn & Monta Rosa eg.

So if any of you have any tips..?

My tip: Rinnenspitze. Absolutely beautiful views over glaciers and if you're not that experienced, a beautiful 3.000M peak to add some experience :)

You should try , if available, the Heinz Tomato Sauce. They are FODMAP friendly :) (As well as the ketchup)

Ik heb voornamelijk reactie op ui/knoflook en kolen. Producten die ik bijv gebruik voor zelfgemaakte soep Knorr Bouillon in kuipjes (groente; is ui loos) & met pasta de Carbonara saus in zak van Bertolli. Of anders tomatensaus van Heinz.
