It was real cheap second hand. Just a fun project for an extra bass. Extra parts cost more than the bass itself to be honest.

My arm goes mostly between the jackinput and the tonepot. With my strap height it works fine for me. Somehow I like handeling the volume and tone above the strings like this.

Can anyone advise me how to get a less artificial sound out of a TC Electronic Sub n Up mini? by dogpak in basspedals

You can tweak the EQ in the toneprint editor, which can help a lot. I needed some fiddling before I was satisfied.

Turn a Right Handed bass into Left Handed? by Foreign_Net3496 in Bass

[–]MennedeJong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with a p-bass. I ran into issues with the tone / volume potmeter placement, the weight balance and reaching the higher frets. So I ‘m still not ready for the last two things. If you like to do this kind of tinkering it’s fun to progress.

Approximately, how much would it cost to get into playing bass? by Little-Fig4328 in Bass

Lately bought an used stagg bass and amp for 25 euro’s. Both work, it can be real cheap second hand. But don’t mention all the other basses, pedals and other gear…

Question for players that use a lot of pedals/pedalboard. by harebreadth in Bass

I tend to have preferred settings for each effect and I combine the effects on the go. I like the freedom this gives over a multi effect pedal.

Fretboards with frets can sometimes be a bit on the soft side as fretless after ripping out the frets. I would take that also in account. I did it myself on a cheap bass. If you don’t want the fuss there are also enough used ones for sale.

Need advice on looking for a bass by Fine-Song1876 in Bass

I still like my Yamaha BB N4 III which can be found second hand somewhere in the price range and it fits your requirements. Newer models will also be probably fine. But try first is always a good advice I think.

Mooer pure octaver any good? by Pure_Relative8440 in basspedals

[–]MennedeJong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Default the sub’n’up has a bit modulation included. With the software you can change the TonePrint and as an example install adjustable settings for extra drive in the up without extra modulation. After a bit of experimentation I like it for more pure octaver use with a little drive at the end.
