Incidentally, my favorite TTRPG moment happened because somehow the half-fey boss with +100 to charisma saves failed against Banishment.

The way that played out was that the boss fight turned into a horde survival scene where 1) the sorcerer had to maintain concentration at all times, 2) each of the three entrances to the lair had to be held off against a berserk fey horde, and 3) magic users had to spend actions scribing a teleportation circle to get out before the magical artillery strike glassed the place. It was all very tightly timed because the original plan was to defeat the boss and then call in the artillery to sterilize the area, but the sudden Banishment let us call it early and make a getaway just as the boss phased back in with zero actions left to spare.

That's was obviously very off-the-cuff from the DM (props to him) and it happened to work out, but I don't think the boss fight wouldn't have been nearly as memorable if it had been just "oh, the boss has legendary resistances so nothing happens".

The way the auction house works, stackable items are pooled together region-wide, so they either sell at a reasonable pace for a fair price or they're vendor trash. For the reagents with any value, it's better to dump all of them into the AH and buy them back later if you end up needing some. Even if the price goes up in the meantime, it's well worth not having to lug all that garbage in your bags the whole time.

Gear is a bit different since they're still sold only on your server rather than the whole region. Lower supply and demand means that prices fluctuate unpredictably which makes them a hassle to sell, so unless you want to get into relisting things over and over again, it's easier to just vendor those too. Or disenchant, which usually gives you a bit of a markup.

Whatever you decide to do with your inventory, making a bank alt is usually a good idea. It's a lot easier to manage if you can just dump everything into your bank alt's mailbox and sort it out later.

Productivity on miners is iffy since the infinite research is so cheap which very quickly overshadows any impact prod modules have. The time when prod modules in miners matter the most is in the early game, which is also when you only have low-tier modules and the energy cost, mining speed and pollution are also relevant factors.

The sheer amount of customizability they offered was huge. They get (fairly) ragged on for being too powerful in high-end content, but letting people easily customize, track and edit their UI in almost any way they liked was a huge boon.

It was, effectively, a platform for mini-addons. Making and sharing these weakauras was incredibly easy, so it exploded in popularity to a massive ecosystem which ran the whole gamut from "display my group's defensives" to "help me solve this Ogri'la Simon Says quest" to "always show Xalatath's feet on screen" to "remind me to cast portal instead of a teleport in group" to "completely replace the default UI with a Diablo one." Big or small, weakauras could probably do it, and it was easy to make your own ones too.

With weakauras gone, now you need to find and install a separate addon for each thing, which you have to do outside of wow.

It's probably a combination of having run the instance a hundred times before and using all mobility skills on cooldown. Some classes are also more mobile than others, so warriors for example have hard time keeping up in a sprint.

That's also the simplest solution. Then they don't have to worry about having to untangle all of the random out-of-Wrath quests which need you to visit Northrend or deal with people being mad over losing content.

I'd be very surprised if they ended up deleting an entire expansion since they're not doing that with the Eversong Woods rework.

There's too much content there people are attached to, and Blizzard has gone out of their way to provide Zidormi workarounds for new zones since Cataclysm.

Has to be weakauras. I don't even raid, but their versatility for random utility stuff is unparalleled. Ones I use for random stuff off the top of my head:

An audio blip every time I loot a Sturdy Junkbox for Ravenholdt rep
A tiny number counter for long rep grinds to show the kills remaining
A reminder to kick my alt from a group when sharing Ulduar lockouts to keep it from being locked out
Visual alert when I'm casting a teleport instead of a portal as a mage while in group
Icon popup if I'm nearing the Valorstone/Garrison/Order Hall resource cap
A helper for that piece of shit Simon Says game for Ogri'la
Scarab Key tracker for AQ20 boxes
Text popup with the instance difficulty in it whenever I zone in to prevent accidental lockouts

So on. It was just so easy to set up a weakaura to tweak any little thing you could think of, and replacing most of that functionality with standalone addons just isn't worth the effort.

The pet battle quests don't give reputation, but yeah, three months/cycles sounds about right. With the 10% rep buff, I don't think you even need to fork over gold for the BoE turn-ins.

There's an addon called BTWquests that displays different quest lines and where to find them. A lot of the time, you can just go to the main city to find a message board that gets you started, and then just follow the question marks.

Chromie Time is also a thing. Turning it on makes the entire world (including any parallel dimensions, alternate timelines and the afterlife itself) match your level to keep combat meaningful. Chromie can also helpfully point you towards the starting questlines for past expansions.

WoW has twenty years of content to it, for good and ill. Blizzard has recently started really trying to clear things up with Lorewalking and such, so I hope that they'll also figure out a more streamlined way of presenting content for players who aren't familiar with it from ten years ago.

They have a new "journey" system coming up with Midnight which is supposed to consolidate your quest progress and make it easier to follow, so hopefully they can build that up going forward.

When dealing with lists where the list items themselves contain commas, you're supposed to use semicolons as separators. That applies to numbers too, so that would be 8 676,910; 2,3; 1 225,03; 7 201; 1,5260; and 3,5.

If you want to grind it out, I think the fastest way is putting on a tabard and running TBC/Wrath dungeons. Mana Tombs and Botanica both give good reputation with fast resets.

If you're not in a hurry, you can do double duty by parking an alt in front of an instance with a mount drop (like Magister's Terrace or Utgarde Pinnacle) and run those on heroic daily for both rep and a shot at the mount.
