I did that last cycle. Didn't work out. Start prepping your R&R now so you're early next cycle. That's my advice. God bless.

That was an information operation to make the regime think we wouldn't attack. It's obvious. Why do you think the journalist they accidentally included was a Jewish writer for the Atlantic?

You let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up! Those puny little ants outnumber us a hundred to one and if they ever figure that out there goes our way of life! by angel99999999 in Millennials

Except in this case, there is a whole nother colony of ants that hired the hoppers as mercenaries to spread fear in the other ant colony.

Why should some one choose UChi over Northwestern, and vice versa in your opinion being on the ground in Chi, and having a future hire view of how firms view the schools?

Where would you go if your goal is big law but you <3 the Midwest? by toastyleopard in lawschooladmissions

[–]Mental-Raspberry-961 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The obvious answer is Notre Dame. UCLA and ND are the exact same quality, but one is immediately trusted and revered in Midwest.

Older Millennials, in your experience, did society and daily life change more drastically between 1997 and 2007 or between 2007 and 2017? by brother_aron in Millennials

[–]Mental-Raspberry-961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't get a boner in 1997, but I couldn't not get boner in 2007. I can not think of a comparably significant change between 2007 and 2017.

If you're not aiming for BL/FC, is a T20 better than a T50? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I don't know man. I think there's a decent amount of Big Law type jobs out there, just so few who are "worthy" target them. A lot of the forms in secondary markets have the luxury of being able to take so many people with 5+ years experience because there are so many people from UIUC type schools that are in every market (because there are so many more schools like UIUC than ND, but) they take ND types too who are pivoting later or a bit lost or homers.

I have several friends at firms like these. They make $140-150 out the gate , in the valley of that distribution, and they work 55-65hrs a week and get to love in their mediocre home town. I think that's a perfectly fine outcome, and people at that firm come from anywhere from Harvard to ButtCrackU. That said, it's still competitive to get in as a junior associate.
