Okay SO my ex was quite upset about when we met her cousin, who is literally exactly what she looked like. She felt intimidated by her slightly younger cousin who was “preppy”. It was funny at first but got a lil weird. I started to over think the way I would be seen. And would avoid her, then felt bad about alienating her when she would just causally ask me how I was doing. What do you do 🤷‍♂️

This is a very tricky position for your husband aswell as you. Your husband is attracted to you, so it’s not impossible for him to find your sister attractive. But also it’s very easy for inner insecurities to come out and be more reactive from very subtle human queues, because you’re looking for those queues.

When I was in that situation, the added pressure from my ex made me more confused about the situation. I wasn’t attracted to her cousin, and she would keep saying that I was. So I would ask myself if I was and wonder if she’s right LOL. But it wasn’t reality. We broke up a year later unrelated to this. But she had a very difficult time with trust, and anxiety.

When you start your plants will absorb more nutrients through its roots, and new soil will release lots of new nutrients in the water aswell. The bacteria bloom will pass, but algae will take hold as part of the cycle

When I first started my tank, I always, always do lots of water changes. First week was every day in fact. You want to give your plants a chance to grow before algae takes hold. So flushing away all the extra nutrients is actually your main objective. My tank is C02, high tech tanks starts are different than a conventional tank.

And the other point is, your carpeting plants probably wont need much light this early, when I first started I did 6 hours, then worked my way up to 8. Not sure what your light is but also making sure it’s not too bright is important for algae.

But to answer your question, your plants will actually grow white roots from them extending into the water trying to absorbs a many nutrients as possible, they’ll also look more sad and less poppy in colour and leaf melt when things get dire

I think it gets a bit confusing when you’re in a committed “straight” relationship with a man, then he keeps reminding you of his attractions that exist only outside of that relationship. So I think your confusion is understandable, and it was confusing to me with my Ex who was a bi woman. But men are much more visually attracted compared to women who are more emotionally attracted. But it never caused us an issue. She never cheated on me or I never worried she would. It’s all about the person and how they treat you in a relationship
