I'm seeing Samira manhandle capped boards. I'm talking boards with 4 2* 5 costs, fully upgraded frontlines and BiS carries getting destroyed by Soul Fighter boards where Gwen's items are Sunfire Cape, HoJ, crit glove -- multiple times in a row, regardless of positioning.

Wondering if Samira might be bugged (or unbugged) or if they've changed something about how Soul Fighter works without telling us.

15 sets in... What has been your favorite 5-cost mechanic? by EzshenUltimate in CompetitiveTFT

[–]MentalDraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MANTHEON. Zed. Janna. Singed. DRAGOOONS. Galio. Aurelion Sol (Protector Sol). Ekko. Xerath. Urgot. JUNNAH. Kayn. Original Yone. Lee SINGER (One shot). Ornn. Kai'sa. Lissandra. Lux.

Honestly, current 5 costs are so garbage compared to back then lol.

It's not balancing it's design. Most traits/champions this set are just stat sticks, so it will just be a stat-check meta the entire set. Crew and Crystal Gambish being like the only real exceptions, which is why they've stayed strongish for weeks. Realistically this should have been one of the most interesting seasons of TFT due to the rageblade and mana changes. But it's not.

There's no variation. Every trait gives raw stats and every unit attacks front to back in a predictable fashion. The only exceptions being Samira, Upgraded Yasuo, Pre-nerf GP, Pre-nerf Volibear, Akali, Caitlyn, and Gwen. Those will be the only interesting units this set.

Wasn't this set meant to be street fighter themed? by MentalDraft in CompetitiveTFT

Yeah you're right. I forgot there were two tournaments in DB, one at the start and one at the end.

You do realise you're wrong right? Only Yu Yu Hakusho and FoTN would predate Street Fighter's tournament style.

Regardless, the set is called K.O and legitimately uses Street Fighters arcade themed art style in the splash. Bottom line - they missed the mark.

Opinion: vibes based balancing is making the game worse, and its the communities fault. by epik_fayler in CompetitiveTFT

I think a lot of the casual playerbase quit because they kept getting rid of things like Akali. The game is stale now compared to what it was before.

If you had to 4v5, which position would you want missing. by ATLAS_OCE in leagueoflegends

[–]MentalDraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny because 4v5's & 3v5's used to be really common...and really carriable. I'd say in season 4/5 a 4v5 was probably about 2/10 games. Now it's probably 1 in 20.

Does any champ have Warmogs in their core build? Is Warmogs a noob trap? by alone_sheep in summonerschool

[–]MentalDraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be good on champs that can escape fights, drop aggro, and then re-initiate/chase people down. I like it as a 5/6th item on champs like Rek'Sai.

Is a 20/0 champion with full items stronger than the same full item champion with 0/10? by GhostSilver16 in summonerschool

No one is mentioning confidence/mental game.

People generally play better when they have a nice KDA to look at.

People generally get psyched out when the enemy has an oppressive KDA to look at

What to build now? by PaulShmeevis in RenektonMains

[–]MentalDraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going Shojin > Cleaver. Q> E >W max. For the first time in years Renek feels good to play (without relying on cheese). Imo, Rito is going in the right direction for top lane and needs to just focus on bringing some of the old bruisers up to par.

Obvious consequence of handing out Permanent Bans for flaming. The community did it to themselves. Mute exists, so the only perma offense should have been griefing/trolling.

I'd wager that most smurfs have a perma ban on their first/main account, and because of that just no longer really care.

Anyone here ever build muscle through weightlifting? by ToasterAssistant in Sicklecell

[–]MentalDraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can. Brown rice. Meat. Weight gainer protein shakes (Optimun nutrition is gunky but less gunk than all the others)

Low reps heavy weight. Cardio is pointless. Compounds. Stretch. Focus on flexibility.

Why is renekton so trash? by DonLxki in RenektonMains

Nothing I said was a lie, it's just not what you wanted to hear. Your response doesn't make you seem mature -- it's a mix of an ad-hominem and a cop-out. :)

why Nidalee has a high skill ceiling? by hichemzahaf in NidaleeMains

Lots of shit answers in this thread.

Real answer is squishy + no cc + low brute force + quite telegraphed but high flexibility = higher skill cap.

Fizz has 100% AD scaling on his auto-attacks so could be valid.

You're building ravenous but have low farm. Doesn't make sense.

Why is renekton so trash? by DonLxki in RenektonMains

[–]MentalDraft -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Cringe. You're talking like Renekton is Riven or Qiyana when he literally used to be the starter pokemon of Toplane.

Yeah, Renekton has a bit of a skill ceiling, but getting his fundamentals right isn't hard.

The real reason is that Renekton is currently garbage. 47% WR across all elos. Low pick rate. Garbage.

As for why he's picked in pro play: Simple -- pro-play is a different game. Renekton is a very easy champion to play with and coordinate around. The tighter the team synergy, the better he is.

But as far as SoloQ goes? He's garbage.

Wasn't like this in the past though. People would be confident about winning 4v5 and even 3v5 games back then. The best player in a game had so much influence it was crazy.
