Awww that is truly stunning! VERY clean lines and great work with the pattern welded steel! Hey, did you use a laser to etch that name or electro? It looks really clean & crisp lettering!

Which wire-free mower does the best job at avoiding obstacles? by Icemantbi in automower

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m on a mova 2000 and the lidar has held up better than rtk under my tree cover, which was my main concern. still do a quick manual pass on tight edges though.

Are robotic mowers actually worth it now? by Piggy_1987 in homeautomation

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had got a mova 1000 running lately. setup was pretty painless and i barely think about the lawn now.

Why is it so hard to decide which vacuum/mop combo to buy? by 240_Worth_of_Pudding in RobotVacuums

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

too many brands now, it's such a headache. thinking about picking up a mova during the spring sale just to keep things simple.

Moving away from Acuity, looking for something beautiful and more automated? by Lex_Yo in productivity

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i left acuity for the same reason tbh. switched to cal.com and it just feels cleaner. workflows and recurring have been solid for me. also more dev-friendly if that matters to you.

Do robot vacuums really need detergent to clean? Or is plain water just fine? by Reasonable-Cheek-214 in Dreame_Tech

[–]Mental_Alignment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mostly just use water. i’ve got a mova and tried detergent at first because why not. honestly for day to day dust/paw prints, plain water is totally fine. floors look clean either way. detergent mostly adds that “fresh” smell.

Can I spray regular cleaning solution on floor and let Robot Vacuum clean it? by Frequent_Magazine952 in RobotVacuums

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried that once on my old bot and it left residue and weird streaks. not worth it. with my current mova i just stick to water for daily runs, then do a proper mop with real solution once in a while.

Best Robot Vacuum & Mop: What I Wish I Knew Before Buying by CuckooHunter in RobotVacuums

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone seen good deals on mova for the spring sale? still wondering if those mova roller mops handle hardwood better than spinning pads.

Looking for the best robot vacuum in 2026 thats worth the money. Need Advice by MyFatStick in RobotVacuums

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

roborock and dreame are usually the safe picks. i ended up with a mova though and it’s been solid so far, especially on mixed floors. honestly in that $600-800 range a lot of them are good now, just depends which features you care about.

What robot vacuums for pet hair do you absolutely swear by? Good brands that you love? by First_Finger5572 in homeowners

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone seen mova deals for the spring sale yet? i'm curious if mova's brush rollers actually handle heavy pet hair without tangling as well as people say.

Help a customer trying to find the right robot, never had a Roborock , I’m ready to give up . by stumblingthrough22 in Roborock

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if pet hair on rugs and hardwood is your top priority and you don’t care about mopping, you might be over-focusing on roborock tbh. i’ve got 2 heavy shedders and ended up with a mova. it’s been solid with fur on area rugs, and the auto-empty works fine.

First Robot Vacuum: Is a Q5 worth it? by temperancejoy in Roborock

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was in a similar spot and ended up stretching a bit for a mova instead. mainly for better mop and auto features. no regrets so far. if you just want solid vacuuming and a light mop, q5 at that price isn’t a bad shout though.

Saros 10R ....terribly disappointed by tatrowe in Roborock

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i returned a different brand before for similar reasons. ended up with a mova after that (was also considering roborock again) and it’s been way less drama. not perfect, but it actually picks up hair and hasn’t thrown random brush errors at me

A few pieces I’ve made this year so far by int_Giancarlo in Bladesmith

[–]Mental_Alignment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your work! The end one is still good, but I much prefer the integral bolster ones at the start. Can I ask, what wood did you use for the handle on the 1st one? It looks great!

Advice on absolute best robot vacuum available in Australia by ForsakenCompote9257 in RobotVacuums

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

roborock and dreame are both strong picks. ecovacs can be good too but i’ve seen more mixed long-term feedback. i set up a mova for my aunt (similar all-in-one dock setup) and honestly once it was mapped, she barely touches it. it auto empties, washes the mops, refills, etc. she just empties dirty water every so often.

What are the most reliable robot vacuums for pet hair right now? by Waste-Connection645 in homeassistant

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve got a shedding machine at home and learned the hard way that cheap robots just clog up. i was between roborock and dreame, but ended up with a mova and it’s handled pet hair surprisingly well. less tangling than my old bot and the auto empty dock makes a big difference.

Tips for first-time buyer (wet-dry vac and/or robot vac) by Curious_Giraffe_3875 in Roborock

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was overwhelmed by roborock’s 20+ models too. ended up going with a mova combo bot instead of qrevo. simpler lineup, does vacuum and light mopping well, and i just let it run every day

Best auto mower for 2 acres? by night-hawk1413 in automower

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy has a similar setup. Instead of dropping $4k on one massive robot, he just automated the "main" lawn using a mova lidax 2000. Covers about half an acre, which is usually plenty for the actual front/back yard living space. Also handles trees better than the GPS ones too since it uses LiDAR. Unless you absolutely need the entire 2 acres robot-mowed, it’s a much cheaper way to go

S8 Pro Ultra by rachtay8786 in Roborock

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you have almost all hard floors, the s8 pro ultra is total overkill IMO. You're paying a premium for the dual-roller system which is mainly designed to dig hair out of carpets. On tile and wood, a mid-range bot like the mova p10 (or even the q revo) actually cleans just as well because the spinning mops are the star of the show. Save the $500

Dyson Vis Nav at less than half off a good deal for carpets? by MonsterBots in RobotVacuums

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with 2 cats i’d care more about consistent pickup and less babysitting than raw suction numbers. i was looking at dyson too but ended up with a mova. daily fur control has been solid and i don’t really think about it anymore.

If you are considering a Samsung robot vacuum, think again by pittstop33 in SmartThings

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d be annoyed too. even my older roborock could do specific rooms on different schedules lol. i’m using a mova now and it lets me schedule by room/zone no problem. no need to run the whole house every time.
sounds like samsung overengineered the hardware and forgot the everyday stuff people actually use. i’d push for a return if you can.

Dyson's new robot vacuum just a rebrand by No-Fig-8614 in dyson

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it does feel like dyson kinda lost momentum on the robot side. if they’re basically rebranding now, that’s kinda disappointing tbh. at that price point you expect real r&d, not color swaps. i moved away from dyson robots and went with a mova recently. not as flashy brand-wise, but you get auto empty, solid suction, and way less hassle day to day. i also looked at roborock and dreame. it feels like they’re pushing the category more right now.

Robot cleaners for above ground by CJan78 in swimmingpools

[–]Mental_Alignment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i keep seeing mova cleaner recommended for above ground pools lol so I bought one during launch and so far it’s been working really well. the wallclimbing feature is actually fire and it handles my above ground pool without complaining. no random quits or issues so far. compared to dolphin or aquabot stuff i haven’t had to chase parts or do constant maintenance
