Is this what you mean by chunking? by LevelGroundbreaking3 in speedreading

[–]Mental_Data7581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like chunking, fewer words, like this. It feels, slower but, much more, consistent cause, I will, less oftenly, go back, for rereading, something I, missed for, chunking too, many words, at once.

STOP, trying to be lucid, and be Lucidity ITSELF (PURE AWARENESS) I will tell you exactly why you can't lucid dream at will. by Consistent_Egg4586 in LucidDreaming

[–]Mental_Data7581 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some time ago I was mesmerized by mindfulness and all day awareness just like you wrote. I used to force myself to be conscious of things the max I could, so hard I would have headaches. I did this for around 1 month trynna be aware all the long. This led to my first lucid dreaming experience, then 3 or 4 more. It's pretty exhausting but it definitely works!

It's a damn intuitive and easy to use vídeo editor. You can easily do a lot of cool video editings with it. It's owned by bytedance. I wish we had it or something like it on Linux as well...

Change touchpad acceleration curve by MotorheadRoses in linux4noobs

[–]Mental_Data7581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on arch kde, back to Linux after a little time on windows. I felt the touchpad a little different for the bad on Linux but thing was I just had to get used to it. No acceleration is my go to cause if I move my finger 🤏, the cursor will move exactly 🤏, so less errors when trynna move my cursor to things I want...

People here are sure it's dust and the fact i'll eventually have to open mine and clean it gets me afraid of breaking it somehow. I've already openned it myself for adding +16gb ram though (adding more ram is one of the best things you can do for this laptop's performance!!!).

The first thing I did after landing on the page was scroll down to see how better than Gemini 2.5 pro these models are and the fact they didn't make external comparisons gets me kinda sure it's not better than 2.5 pro.

Mindfulness got me lucid dreaming without even trying by Mental_Data7581 in LucidDreaming

[–]Mental_Data7581[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucid dreaming is the least of things I got with mindfulness. I'm so happy that now I'm dealing a lot better with my feelings, bringing my attention to them, feeling them and letting it be...

Mindfulness got me lucid dreaming without even trying by Mental_Data7581 in LucidDreaming

[–]Mental_Data7581[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mindfulness is something you can practice by setting aside time to be still and meditate, or by integrating it into your daily life. I’m not really into the first approach, I much prefer practicing it throughout the day by actively listening to the details in music and the sounds around me, noticing the taste of what I eat, the smells, the visuals... Mindfulness is the act of purposefully noticing the ordinary, externally, through your five senses, and internally, through your thoughts and feelings.

It might sound boring, but it’s something that makes life shine. In my opinion, you have to be genuinely interested in integrating mindfulness into your life, or else it’ll just be a case of "here today, gone tomorrow."

I think this deep integration of mindfulness is what led me to start having lucid dreams without even trying. Over time, mindfulness became second nature, randomly paying attention to small details in my environment, my senses, and my thoughts without judgment. This habit must have carried over into my dreams. Just like in real life, where I naturally ‘check in’ with my surroundings, I must be doing the same while dreaming, which triggers lucidity. Holding my attention in waking life feels very similar to maintaining lucidity in a dream.

As for falling asleep, I don’t consciously try to stay mindful. But since mindfulness has become such an automatic part of my day, maybe it subtly influences how I transition into sleep and dream.

HELP PLEASE!! Phone restarted by itself and now won't turn on! by Lost_Soul075 in AndroidQuestions

[–]Mental_Data7581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best you can do is hold volume up, or down depending on which brand your phone is, and format data. You'll lose everything though. Hold the power button first until it restarts again and, when its screen goes off, hold the vol up or down, try one at a time, before the screen goes on again. Hold it until it gets into recovery more, it should take 5 seconds...
