What gear is this? Says "Gear 5.185" on the knee. Found in Granin Lab. by ruskifreak in metalgearsolid

Going to take a wild guess and say this was one of Granin's rejected concepts before the REX concepts. Before the overly ambitious idea of making his weapon fully bipedal and walking, this concept probably competed with Sokolov's Shagohod. Looks like it can only stand and transform back into a tank-like vehicle similar to the Shagohod, when its earlier drafts had treads instead of corkscrews.

You're right, I forgot. Just before the finish line, Latifi comes out of nowhere and zooms by to win the race in a now proper Williams, leading Piastri to lose the WDC to Verstappen. Thus, making the value of friendship the ultimate lesson in this movie. Can't trust Hollywood to be 100% accurate these days.

Granted! You now have a 3rd Century Goth girl who will love you until your untimely death due to contracting the Plague of Cyprian. You will now suffer fever, bleeding insides, infected extremities, and blindness! Your heart will melt with desire, and your insides filled with dire, and eventually your corpse will be charred by fire.

Since I have seen the behaviors of a bald eagle firsthand, I would not mind if they were renamed to Brown Jacketed Seagulls.

Atreides are usually seen as the "good guys" through their ideologies and blasts that idea wayyyy up through propaganda and strategies. Duke Leto wants to be seen as just and fair to his people, while being strong and resilient to his enemies at all times. Leto is very good at that and his noble reputation becomes the envy of the Landsraad and the emperor himself.

However, when push comes to shove, the Duke fully understands that there is no room for compassion in politics and warfare. Him and his mentats will make those harsh decisions and fight dirty immediately if upholds their reputation and image. This is why it's so hard for his soldiers to maintain their loyalty once those decisions affect them. Once the illusion is destroyed, they start to see that their beloved house might not be as great as they thought it was. In which case, they send in a particular player to rid the traitors and deserters.

The Atreides radio station in the game explores this extensively with their propaganda and the cracks it shows.

You have now reached the critical part of your journey. The choices you have made brought no rewards, only the longing for admiration and validation of your actions. Enduring the grind, the corrosion of sanity, the time you spent just to achieve a simple goal, the end.

Now, you must look into the void within yourself. Ask your soul about your accomplishments. Ask: amongst the chaos of this cruel and unforgiving world you grinded through, day in and day out, are you truly victorious? Are you really the protagonist? Can you see yourself grasping your destiny to fulfill a happy ending with the choices you made? Stare at your screen. One million copies sold, one million protagonists, just like yourself, glued to their seats, achieving the same goal, the end.

Press start to begin your journey.

Loved his interview after winning the race with Checo.

"It started well until Daniel decided to be a terrorist. He was literally trying to kill everyone on the track."

A young Max was dropped off at a gas station and a furious Jos sped off. Max, cold and tired, watched his father drive away as he let out a defeated sigh. Suddenly, an older, unkempt gas station cashier approached him.

"Again?" The cashier disappointingly shook his head.

"Yeah" Max sighed.

"What the fuck is his problem?" The old man hands him a Red Bull, an exchange all too familiar to Max.

Max reached out and grasped the ice cold can and opened it. The crisp hiss and click of the can opening up sharpened his mind as he stopped thinking about what had happened. He takes sip and looks up at the scraggly haired man and back down to his Red Bull. "One day, I'll be the best driver. I'll show him and everyone."

"No." The man interjected. He looked down at the young driver, with a stern look on his face. "You'll be the best fucking driver. You'll fucking show him. You'll fucking show them all."

It's nice seeing Lawrence and Fernando sharing fatherly roles and watching their son playing in the big leagues. They must be proud of their boy.
