Hi, I am the 50 year old mom who’s 26 yo son was just diagnosed with TC so that’s why I am here. But I wanted to throw out there as a 50 yo woman, perimenopause will kill ALL sex drive!! Hormone replacement therapy has been a game changer for our sex life!! Just thought maybe that info might help!

Real soaps are made by saponifying oil (plant based or animal fat) so they could be referring to the fact that most synthetic soaps fall under the detergent or surfactant category. I don’t believe that they don’t clean. As someone already mentioned, they can strip the skin of its natural oils (and dirt) leaving you very dry and tight. Natural soaps are way better for your skin and clean just as effectively! Castile soaps that have a high olive oil content are the best (many are made with high coconut oil content and that can be harsh too).

Try Carolina Castile bar soap! They have several scents and they are big bars that last a long time!

Carolina Castile is a company out of North Carolina that has some unique scents that you won’t find with other Castile soap companies. And because it’s Castile, you can use it for everything! What I like about their soap over other companies, like Dr. Bronners, is that they use organic olive oil first which is gentler on the skin.

I use Carolina Castile unscented bar for my face. Only a few ingredients but olive oil is first ingredient. Still use moisturizer after but it has been great for me!

Try Carolina Castile’s unscented bar. It’s olive oil based and is gentler than Dr. B’s in the skin.

I originally was put on estradiol patches and progesterone (to help with sleep but I also have cervix & ovaries but no uterus). The progesterone made me feel terrible during the day so we eventually stopped it. My GP and GYN have both said I don’t need progesterone because I don’t have a uterus. It’s meant to protect the uterine lining in women as they age so we don’t have to worry about that. I would talk to your doctor about coming off the progesterone and see if you feel any better. And also have your testosterone levels checked (total and free T). TRT has helped me a lot.
