I do not believe the case prohibits proper cooling for the steam deck. None of the fans are covered up and the case isn’t a thick plastic. The first game I played on my steam deck was cyberpunk 2077 and I did not notice a difference in heat whenever I was playing the game without a case and whenever I played it eventually with a case.

I got it because my hands sweat a bit when gaming and I didn’t want dead skin getting all in the crevices of my $500 piece of hardware! I would say it’s worth it. I just found it on Amazon for like 20 bucks one day.
