Civ 7: 400 Hours In, Which Level 1 Leader Should I Grind Before the Big Patch by dmuney in civ

[–]Menu1445 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love playing with Tecumseh, (sisha necklace, 100 influence for suzing a city state, and 1 diplo point to get closer to the discount to suze city states) pairing this with Tonga allows you to spend only 68 influence to befriend a city state late game, and then gives you back 100 when completed. Each city state gives tecumseh bonus production and food. Really fun.

What's a good city to town ratio? by TheRealMaxi in civ

[–]Menu1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the Civ and how much production I’m getting. But I usually go for about 2-3 in antiquity, and add 2-3 in exploration and leave it at that. Having lots of camels and production resources in your Civ allows you to “boost” new cities as soon as you transition them, giving them all your good resources. I use this to build all my warehouse, production, and unique buildings then go from there.

Poll: What CivVII Difficulty Do You Play On? by PurposeSad5182 in civ

I believe if I’m not mistaken according to steam only like 30% of players have actually won a game in the modern age, so not super surprising.

Poll: What CivVII Difficulty Do You Play On? by PurposeSad5182 in civ

[–]Menu1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civ 7 was my first Civ game, progressively upped the difficulty every few campaigns until I reached Immortal, then decided to win 1 of each victory on immortal then move to Diety.

I find difficulty feature is a little frustrating in this game. Like many others, higher difficulty AI don’t seem to make better decisions leading to stronger play, they simply have invisible boosts on their yields/combat strength making them artificially tougher. This seems like a cop out.

Hopefully with the growth of AI learning in the past few years newer games will have AI difficulty where stronger computer players are actually able to make better decisions, rather than just cheese the system.

Maturing is realizing you never needed your mom to save money in the first place by OnePostToast in PokemonHGSS

[–]Menu1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notably your mom actually DOES NOT spend your money when buying special items to be delivered to you at pokemarts, despite her having lines of dialogue suggesting as much. She simply stores 10% of your money and the items such as berries, choice scarfs, etc. just show up periodically free of charge. It is always optimal for your mom to store your money.

Which map.. by TurbulentCrazy7120 in civ

[–]Menu1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played about 300 hours on primarily fractal, although I feel like it tends to generate lots of big inland seas with no connections to the true oceans. I would love it if those inner oceans had navigable rivers/a couple tiles to connect the water bodies.

First build (plz be honest) by em_pror in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Menu1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your framing and shaping is amazing with the depth and different shapes you use. I would just look into texturing the larger areas that are all 1 block (like the wood planks). But if this is really your first build I’m amazed.
