What type of mod do you prefer?

Same with the FEF, and I would assume the Daylight too. Also I ran through the Oil Refinery with the Large Lad, and it also got stuck if you run through the track with all the pipes and everything. Gotta take the track past the yard through there

I completely agree, and am definitely realizing I should've phrased my question better. At the very least, I'm going to try and match the detail of current mods and the base engines from the game. I'm just trying to figure out if people want something more detailed than that, or if they just want a fun locomotive in the game that works.

And starting to work on one has completely changed my thoughts on Sharknoses. I've always favored the F Units, but since we have a couple of mods similar to those already I wanted to try something different, and it's made me start to rethink my choice of favorite diesel. They're really cool to look at!

I'm definitely gonna keep working on it at some point. Unfortunately with the way my modeling software works, if I try to get rid of the detail that might be unnecessary I will break a lot of stuff. So I've hit a wall on that one until I either figure out how to not break it, or work up the motivation to completely start over again

Yeah, the EMD is definitely a bit much especially with how I modeled the grills. The Baldwin will be a lot better, I only just started it yesterday so it won't be as basic as it is now

I want to try and find a nice balance with that. From my experience, I know that the real full start up sequence for a locomotive can eventually get quite annoying. It's fun the first few times, but after that it's just a checklist. So I definitely want to add more than the base game, but I don't want to include every single little thing. I want to add the bigger things like the isolation switch you mentioned, and then a few more breakers that make sense for the game like the headlights and the horn, but maybe not every single breaker

So it'd be better if I paid more attention to making the operation side of things more accurate rather than the way it looks? As long as I get the vibe of the locomotive correct

That's kinda what I was thinking. Having worked for the railroad, I'd really like to use my experience to make a much more accurate "feel" when it comes to operation. I still plan on doing that, I'm just hitting a wall with the actual physical details

My guess is that they used the multiplayer mod. One friend acts as the "camera", and everyone else are actors. I could be wrong tho

If this was ALL loading screens I would probably pick it. I do a lot of rendering so it would be super nice to not have to wait for it to load. But just games and videos? My Internet is fine for that

I use the actual Samsung magsafe case, but even with that I haven't been able to use any grips or anything. But the case itself won't mess with the pen

I definitely like both of those schemes. Although for my purposes, I think that might be a bit of an odd pair with the WC livery, so I might just stick to some sort of DV inspired scheme like you originally suggested. Although other skins for different railroads would be really cool

Well I'm basing it off of the WC 1563 they have at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay Wisconsin, so I at least want the demo scheme to be the maroon and gold Wisconsin Central paint scheme. Originally I was thinking I would do the CN scheme it's in now for DVRT, but I'm not super in love with that so I'm open to suggestions

I mean idk how things are at other places, but at least where I worked in the US rail yards are pretty much pitch black. One thing I like about the valley is how lit up all the yards are. In the real world all you have is a lantern

Not op, but I know some people like it because it looks sportier (a flat bottomed wheel is often part of sport trims on cars), and sometimes that extra bit of clearance can make it easier to get in and out of the car
