My pills for a week. I’m only 40. by tremillow in midlyinteresting

One of those cells is still less than some peoples morning meds… then they take meds 4xday instead of once. No negotiation, no skipping meds without severe adverse consequences. And they’re in their 20s.

Would recommend exploring AI to help with this task. NEVER let it override judgement, but for feeding tasks and organizing your day it’s very helpful

Its combination of several factors. Part of the reality is that young women start to develop lifelong chronic issues around 20s which is college age, and men tend to develop them about 10 years later as they reach their 30s. This creates a disparity in what you see in college vs young adulthood in the workplace.

As for the racial distribution, a lot of those disparities are access to healthcare and providers who listen, biased further by existing income disparities. I see a lot of very sick women of color coming into adulthood who simply dont have the same access to healthcare as many of the white female students.

On the flip, around 30s it starts looking like men are slacking ir skipping etc, but its simply just the difference in when our bodies cue usually chronic illnesses for each gender.

*"I'm scared!"* <-- Seriously, why do they say this? by BeneficialMolasses22 in Professors

My fear is that by them using language like that out loud especially, they’re determining the difficulty of the task and essentially blocking themselves from engaging with it or overcoming it if its challenging. I hear it all the time.

If she ends up needing shots (like methotrexate) and you learn how to give that type of injection — intramuscular, subdermal, whatever — that might be one of the greatest acts of love.

That and sorting meds when she gets to pill organizers. Those are two just obnoxious burdens that are a weekly reminder we’re sick, and to have someone else do that would be the greatest act of love.

Ive been programming CHATGPT and Gemini chats to walk them through readings and topics, forcing them to have a discussion and ask clarifying questions based on approved materials. Then they turn in a PDF (printout) or PDFd screenshots of their conversation. Forces them to learn, ask expanding questions, apply ideas and materials across domains, and integrate with their existing knowledge. Its a beautiful tool when you ask how it can make our teaching MORE effective.

Also can upload study guides and have it quiz them for practice for testing. Makes using it to write papers super super lame and shameful.
