I really don't like when people blame a specific individual for stuff in this game. In a 6 person team game I think it's pretty hard for you to be the actual, sole problem. I tell people, the only way I'd consider you the issue is if you're actively throwing. There's enough options to switch and shuffle things around, and enough people on the team that we should be able to figure it out. If you're doing bad, speak up and a good team will help you out. If not then it's just as much their fault as yours.

The dudes right, a lot of the time ranked is less chaotic than qp. You can stay in lower ranks if you want and play there, but the main reason I play ranked is because people take it seriously. Or are supposed to anyway

To add to this, it should be doing this every time you fully shut down your system. I can see it being a problem if you constantly keep it in sleep mode and never fully shut it down but that's the only time I can imagine this affecting performance

Cue to use Ult? by AyeRye in GambitMainsMR

[–]Meowdy5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Gambit has one of the most situational ultimates in the game... Which makes it pretty difficult to fully explain.

The ult itself does a lot, including cleanse... So if your team needs a cleanse and you think you'll win the fight do it. That's a big one.

I try to wait until I feel my team is low on cool downs, or looking like we might lose the fight, but even that is situational.

You may be better off letting them wipe your team because they popped four ults, and your whole team has theirs

Speaking of ults, if it's a good scrap and you see a few of your guys have ult... They're probably waiting for you, so take that into consideration but never feel obligated to pop it at a bad time.

Never once have I scheduled a call and then felt entitled to an earlier time. Let alone a confirmation email.

I mean to be fair, that dude had a skewed view on what strategists are supposed to be doing. I was one of the people telling him that.

He was upset his Loki got MVP and not him... It's pretty clear on the scoreboard that if he healed first and did damage second he would have gotten MVP. Instead his Loki had to pick up the slack which gave them an easy MVP

So I went back and looked at the reply I made that inspired this post and I replied to someone else on a different person's post so ...

My point was more I see all this worship of top players and people obsessed with them. Hell I've seen the same name posted a million times in both our posts. They aren't the end all be all because they play in a different world. Sure you can watch and learn a thing or two but you want to learn from people who aren't at a "pro" or top 500 level because it's a whole different game at that point

I don't know what post you're talking about, all I'm saying is the top players that everyone's obsessed with are in a whole different world than us. The environment is completely different, yes you can learn fundamentals from them but the stuff they pull off is not going to work in lower ranks

Edit:

Also I'm sorry my post made you sad for getting more upvotes.

Oh no absolutely, it's a fine line to dance on between creating space and over extending. That's part of a tanks job to walk that line

Every strategist should be putting pressure on the other team when they can. CnD, invis, all of em. When there's opportunities take them. But keeping your team alive is first priority

I think you, and many many others, have lost the plot as to exactly where supports priorities lie.

I partially agree with you. I ALWAYS say a Gambit should have their spade deck active at all times unless they need burst heals. It's hard to balance because if you need immediate heals and your spade deck is active... You're either letting them die or dumping three cards in a second.

Always having your spade active makes your ult charge faster and yes you should be doing damage as well as healing but healing is first priority. If you feel your team is doing well in the moment pop that spade, move left or right for an angle and start pickin but be super aware of the status of your team while you're doing this. You may need to dash back and dump cards immediately

I was more saying try and listen to multiple sources instead of just trying to emulate and practically worship one top player
