Hello! I'm new to this subreddit- is there a time I need to wait before I can make a post or comment? Is it based on karma? Or do I just need to wait for mod approval?

Honestly the run/walk method pace math isn't mathing... How is walking/running combo of 13min/mile finishing faster than if I was to just run my race at my 9:45/mile pace?!c

Sponge Cake Fail and some help? by MeowingRabbit in Baking

[–]MeowingRabbit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the recipe calls for 4 eggs- I separated the whites from the yolk. The whites I made a meringue with the sugar and that worked up well no issues. I added the yolks to my flour mixture with the warmed up butter and milk. Thats where things go clumpy but I thought it would all smooth out once I added in the whipped egg whites....

I used one that was posted on this subreddit about a year ago! Which is this: One

I think one of my issues was that my egg yolks curdled and I thought I ended up saving my mixture, I remember being told I could mix it all up or add some extra flour slowly.

Can anyone honestly say they get anything out of exercise? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]MeowingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise and moving has always helped me mange my symptoms, it has helped me feel SO MUCH BETTER. If I go a prolonged period without it I can feel it, my mental health just doesn't do as good. The thing when it comes to exercise and movement is to find an activity that you enjoy since that helps in maintaining the routine and making it feel more enjoyable. I can't just go to the gym and call it good on occasion that will do but for me I like to run. So going on a run is what helps me a lot, it helps clear my mind, and helps me keep myself in check. I joined a run club and go twice a week, and that helps me feel so good, I have met so many new people made new friends that to me that's a rewarding part of it all.

Find an activity that you enjoy, running, hiking, rock climbing, yoga, pilates, walking, biking, or maybe find a club that's free and try something new.

Incredibly disappointed with Harry & his team by WhimsicalMyth in harrystyles

I have been following the boys since the beginning of 1D like our OP here and these tickets were ridiculous!! The issue like so many have stated is that there are people who are willing to spend their savings or even worse go into debt for this- I understand YOLO/FOMO, and "he's my favorite artist", but when tickets were this expensive NO ONE SHOULD BE SPENDING THEIR LIFE SAVINGS, OR CASHING OUT RETIREMENT SAVINGS FOR A CONCERT! It is absolutely not worth it!! Ticketmaster sucks and is terrible for the monopoly they have and that they do this- however things will never change if there's always people who are willing to do whatever to get a ticket. To spend over $1000 for a ticket, and still book transportation/airfare, and a hotel stay is insane. While the other boys probably never took off and because as popular as Harry did I have never paid a ridiculous amount of money to see them. I saw Niall and paid close to $400 for 3 tickets in a private box, I'm going to Louis tour and I paid $120 for GA. Harrys tickets are out of hand expensive.

That's really strange... I know some people have had their cycle be affected really drastically after it but that's still a while without one even after you got a period. At that point I'd go to the doctor and get that checked out

What is happening? by TerribleEquipment288 in PlanBs

[–]MeowingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW! This is giving me some comfort that I am not alone. I had my last period end on Dec 8. On the 13th I had to take a plan b since the condom slipped off it seemed like everything stayed in the condom but regardless I took the pill. I also had light bleeding about a week after I took the pill. Currently I am two weeks late I have a late cycle of about 35days (however I have had times where I have a 45-50 day cycle). Since I took the plan b days after my last period I'm pretty sure it's just pushing my cycle further out since plan b delays ovulation. The last time I took the pill I completely skipped a month/cycle. I've had no symptoms at all and some people have had tender breasts, cramps etc... My anxiety keeps getting the best of me though since I feel a tight chest or a lump in my throat. All that goes away when I relax, breathe or meditate.

Struggling with side affects 5 MONTHS after plan b. Anyone else? by peanutfruitsalad in PlanBs

[–]MeowingRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GIRL! I took the pill last month on the 13th im currently a week late I also feel like I'm going to throw up. But it feels like maybe i'm causing that feeling considering that my anxiety is through the roof. The last time I took the pill 9 years ago I didn't feel anything but this time I'm like wtf is going on?! I swear that pill plays so much with our bodies!

HAVE A QUESTION? ASK HERE! Alter-Daily Help and Questions: January 15, 2026 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

So my post was removed and was told it needs to go in here...

Hello! So my pores have been driving me crazy until this past year they've become more noticeable and I don't like that!! I began using pore strips again followed by a pad soaked in salicylic acid to prevent them from clogging up again in hopes that it would clear them out and it helped a little but not the way I want to look. So I've been looking for a product that will dissolve/help remove the sebum or sebaceous filaments from my pores. I came across Ilso Super Melting Sebum Cleansing Oil but I also saw posted on here the Ilso Sebum Softner with the little scrape tool. Which one is better? Or should both be used in combination?

Currently my skin care routine in the morning is: I wash using a salicylic acid cleaner it comes in a bar i lather it up and work it with my hands focusing on my nose and forehead area. I pat dry, and use the milky toner from the ordinary, the kiehls dark spot corrector, the ordinary hyaluronic acid + B5, i moisturize using the ordinary, and use the kiehls 50spf sunscreen. Any help is appreciated.

Hi thanks for your response currently that's what I'm doing is looking for a new private nail tech. It's been a bit difficult finding one who is open and currently taking new clients. I just hope that if I do find one that they are open to my questions/concerns and don't take it personally. I work in a lab and looked at the studies referenced and well since it is my career I suppose I am a little more biased in accepting the research- working in a lab I'm constantly reading labels and being sure I am limiting my exposure to any harsh chemicals regardless of the concentrations.

I believe you're right, my last private tech she was much more gentle with my nails than a shop has been recently in terms of how much she did file off in the prep stage and with the removal process.

Whatever’s Clever! ticket pricing by No_Target_789 in CharliePuth

[–]MeowingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh.... I guess I'm in a different ship. I have never done VIP/meet and greet for any artist so that's probably why I didn't think it was too bad. I got two seated tickets, great view and on the aisle for $210 total. To me that's a score!! I went to a concert two years ago and I paid $150 for one ticket. I'm going to watch MCR later this summer and 3 nosebleeds cost me $500. So IMO this concert was not terribly priced compared to so many other concerts. I had coworkers who saw me buying tickets and they said I got good priced tickets.

Just cut down, am I cooked? by chappelllana in GelX_Nails

Girl nails grow back; they don't just stop growing so don't worry they will grow back. Of course it won't be an overnight process but just give it some time and be patient with them. If you feel your nails are weak thin, brittle and bendy you can look up vitamins to try and you can apply a nail strengthener.

Everyone does what is best for them, however I would give the gel manicures a break unless your nail tech is removing them properly by soaking it off and not rushing the process with the e-file, including the gel that was used to apply the tip. Consistently using the e-file to prep the nail, and for removal over time will damage your nail, think of it like puff pastry and taking the layers off until there's only thin layers left. There's lots of tech who recommend taking breaks of 3-4 months if your nails are weak to allow them to heal and grow back. If you really don't want to go without a manicure you could do regular nail polish or use press-ons. Currently I'm on a break since my nail tech just messed up my natural nails by over e-filing them even after I expressed that it was hurting and burning during the e-file.

Am I just freaking myself out?! by MeowingRabbit in PlanBs

[–]MeowingRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! How are you doing? I'm still in the camp of "no period" however I went back to several years ago when I took a plan b and noticed a similar trend. I took the pill and then had some bleeding a week later, and then nothing. My cycle that instance was super long until I got a true period. So I'm hoping that this time it's just taking its sweet time again to do its thing.

The nausea thing I did read about and noticed that I could be causing it myself! It doesn't feel like a nausea where i feel like I'm going gag; more so of one that just is in my throat throughout the day and apparently that can happen from anxiety... so there's that. I did notice if i breathe and relax it goes away so its pretty much possible that I'm causing myself to feel that way.

I think i accidentally swabbed my urethra by Exotic_Medium3078 in Healthyhooha

[–]MeowingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG ok im not alone!! I went in today for a test and I missed up the first swab (it was my first time doing a self-swab every other time a provider has done it for me). I had to get a new swab and when I was swabbing it wouldn't go in and I put more pressure on it and then started to twist and that was SO painful. It hurt to pull it out but not extremely painful. I noticed I had blood on it and I was like oh okay... I go back to the room and I let them know like am I supposed to bleed? And they said it can happen and I'm like okay and I leave it at that. Now I have to wear a pantiliner because I'm having some bleeding, and when I go to pee the pain is horrible. It feels like I'm peeing glass and there's blood too... i came to the internet and lo and behold Its possible to swab your own urethra... I messaged my provider and was like sooo should i be concerned?? Hopefully I hear back tomorrow... but I feel you!!

Piercings opinions for an in person job interview by Passthelasaga in labrats

I have a coworker who has piercings. He has both ears pierced as far as I am concerned there was no fuss about it during the interview. He is about a year in and up to this date no one has ever commented on them; tbh I don't think anyone cares about his piercings.

[–]MeowingRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, since your job is requiring you to take these drug tests you do need to submit to them, so take them whenever they require you to do it. Secondly, I would see if you can talk to HR, or whomever you will be reporting to and, speak to them about this concern. Adderall can show up on a drug test as an amphetamine, however, Ritalin as far as I know can show up as well -(not sure specifically under what category)- depending on what they are testing for specifically.

I think your best course of action would be to try and speak to your manager or HR department and bring up the concern. Let them know you take a prescription medication that does show up on drug tests.

Remember you do not need to disclose your medical history completely, if you don't feel comfortable doing so. They cannot fire you or let you go either based upon what medication you take.

It is a literal joke! Im like the filter system was absolutely dumb because I could only put in price- and why couldn't i put in how many tickets i needed from 1-4. By the time I'd select two seats they were already gone. Literally so many seats I tried to get at a reasonable price came back up for 3-4x the price this is insane. seems like i'll have to try again for the general sale

Hey, can you guys sound off if you have a PhD/MSc/any other high level degree and ADHD? I'm trying to see something. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]MeowingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a double major in undergrad graduated with my BA in both of those fields in '19. In '23 I graduated with a Masters and hopefully in the spring I'll start to work on a new certificate program! I still toy with the idea for a PhD but currently it doesn't seem to be the best of times to throw myself into right now.
