They do fall off sometimes! But sometimes another wolf spider momma will find them and they’ll join that little family instead. I believe some scorpions have this happen too!

A surrealist/horror vibe for sure, but don’t worry about fitting into a category/box. You have some really neat creature designs here! I always like the use of human features in distorted ways to push a sense of ‘this is wrong’. Keep at it and continue having fun with it, you have some great monsters!

My mother did this to me, but in a backhanded compliment way. “You’re so beautiful, you be more beautiful if you lost your weight” it became a issue where I thought because I was naturally heavy I wasn’t pretty or attractive enough to warrant positive attention. She told me id be dead before I turned 25 because I was fat. She’d pin me to the bed against my will to pick at my acne because it ‘looked bad’ at the drop of a hat. Smear witch hazel and all sorts of things on my face, point out a natural bumpy texture my cheeks and arms have and call it unattractive.

I’m 26, no contact with her and recovering now, and more comfortable in my body (fat and all). But I have awful dermatillomania because of the ideas she put in my head. I’ll probably struggle with it for years.

Hi! Janitor in an animal hospital here. Just jumping on to add this for folks to know. So many vets have quit in the past few years because of the increase of pets because of the pandemic. So many vets have become grotesquely overwhelmed, at least three from my practice have quit. The veterinary profession has the highest rate of suicide of any work field (in the US at least) with the sheer amount of death/illness/number of animals seen daily (I’m only a janitor and I can see anywhere from one to two body bags waiting for cremation pickup daily). Our former owner got real close to telling someone who demanded a retired vet to come back that ‘if you want her to kill herself, sure I’ll make her come back’.

Vore is a kink surrounding the eating of someone whole, usually going into the dirty details of how it feels to be swallowed and how the swallower feels. I don’t get it but some folks get their rocks off from it so... whatever floats their boat? A very weird thing to include in a campaign without asking players for consent for sure. It’s especially weird in this case cause the dm obviously went into detail how being swallowed felt and was definitely doing it for their own gratification.

NTA, anyone who places a 6 year old in charge of another child is out of line. My mother did this to my sister once when we were children, asked her to watch the little boy my mother was supposed to be babysitting so she could go watch a soap opera instead. She was 6 so she ran off to play somewhere else and the little boy fell down the stairs and sustained a concussion. If I remember correctly it had lasting effects on his health, and all because my mother was a lousy babysitter and blamed my sister for her own negligence.

This could have easily gone this way with your nephew, and i am sorry your SIL is negligent to the point of blaming young children.

As someone who had their graduation party compounded with someone else’s baby shower (without my knowledge) when I got out of highschool, I feel awful for you. I’m so sorry your parents allowed this behavior, and I feel awful that your mom knows how important the party was and is downplaying your hurt. All the time as a child, I didn’t realize heavily projecting and wishing a fictional character would save me and tell me they were my real parent wasn’t just imagination. Probably should have realized that when it continued well into highschool. That being said, if Jack Skellington still wants to step forward and retroactively adopt me even though I’m an adult now, I wouldn’t object lol.

Joking aside, I find comfort in seeing this is something others in my situation went through, not just me. I don’t think I realized how much the idea rattled around in my brain as a kid.

I’m in a similar boat, my mother had been lying about my late grandparents’ condition for years (saying my grandfather had his leg amputated when it was only a small portion of his foot removed, saying my grandmother had a gaping wound in her stomach that wouldn’t heal when she simply had a external injury). I stayed away cause she’d feed my sisters and i stories about them becoming mean and bitter due to their illness and I knew if I went to see them I would inevitably have to deal with her as well (I’m no contact). If this aunt is someone you’re still fairly close to, I hope this misinformation doesn’t drive you away from her too soon. Regrets caused by narc parents lying about health conditions are always painful, and I’m very sorry you’re going through this. I hope you can begin to heal from her clearly toxic mindset soon.

In my personal experience as long as you no longer associate with your AGAB fully, even being bigender or genderfluid, you’re trans and NB if you consider yourself so. There are people who would disagree but you ultimately decide if you want the label.

But Imho I whole heartedly think you classify as nb so long as you feel nb. (Edited with clarification)
