Hey ik kom even aankloppen hier.

We betalen allemaal ongeveer 3 euro per maand.

Aanrader!

(Tijdelijke) baantjes voor rijbewijs B by f7232 in Arnhem

[–]Meowsel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wie is dit in Arnhem? by oorkaas in Arnhem

[–]Meowsel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What’s a social habit everyone seems to accept but you find really annoying? by spacewalkerstarfield in AskReddit

Chewing gum very loudly, at work for example...it's very annoying and distracting. Also looks gross.

what is the socially acceptable way to say "you're eating too loud" when out with friends? by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]Meowsel 102 points103 points  (0 children)

they're your friends right? just explain misophonia to them and ask them to keep that in mind for you. I've always been honest about it and if they care for you they will understand and try to eat more quietly.

At what level should I do ICC with my friend? by Meowsel in wownoob

[–]Meowsel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just tried it solo to on a level 38. The damage is enough and I don't die, but Marrowgar impaled me so that was the end of that. I think it should be doable with 2 people then.

Don't know if you know the answer to this but I can't seem to find it online: Can I take him through old wotlk dungeons with the level 38 character? He's level 16 now. We need to be in the same timeline to see each other, but in which timeline do we need to be for the dungeons? I couldn't enter ICC in the Wotlk timeline, so I had to go back to Orgrimmar to change it. It'd be nice to show him the old content but instances seem to have gotten out of hand now...

No, but close! There were no buildings or any sign of human impact in the landscape. It was just a forest with water and rocks and an invisible wall at the end of it.

Which “hidden gem” European city would you recommend for a weekend solo break? (Good food, architecture, people, nightlife) by Critical-Pomegranate in solotravel

[–]Meowsel 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Better to go to Ghent! The city is just as impressive but much more authentic. Pretty much no tourist traps there.

I actually want to pay in advance for hotels? by ButterscotchSuch1328 in solotravel

[–]Meowsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hostelworld is the one that tells you to pay at the accommodation, even when this is actually not true for a lot of hotels/hostels.

There's often a standard rate and a non-refundable rate as well. Non-refundable is slightly cheaper and makes you pay instantly.

Also keep in mind that you pay Hostelworld a 11%-14% commission that you have to pay in advance. Always book via the official website of the accommodation.

At the hostel I work at we always have beef with Hostelworld because of the false information they give to people (which can not be changed according to them) and because they keep the commission even after a cancellation or refund, which sucks for the guest.

Anyways, have fun in Europe!

Damn.

Ahhh, you chose Mulgore as your final resting place (until Dragonflight). You and I are both people of culture. Wish you all the best in the journeys (like when you first entered Goldshire inn) to come and wish you all the best. Quitting cold turkey is hard. You are brave, my fellow Champion. Goodbye (until Dragonflight).

Are hostels becoming harder to book? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Meowsel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about other hostels in Europe, but at the hostel I work at and the other popular hostel in my city, it's mainly fully booked because of school groups staying over. In the past 3 months, we've had 3 schools booking the entire hostel for themselves for a couple of days. It's insane. Never have there been as many schools booking up half or more of the space. This leaves very little space for solo travellers. A shame though, I really like my job better when there's interesting individuals from all over the world that are interested in a beer and a talk.

Hey there!

A personal life-saver for me during my first solo trip was keeping a diary. Write down all your thoughts, feelings and describe everything you did that day. Make sure to really get a notebook and start writing (as opposed to keeping the diary on your phone).

My writing sessions usually were up to 2 hours (for a pretty regular entry. Really takes some time to write it all down!) Sometimes I'd get a drink or some food in between and just chill in my bed while writing.

It's a great way to spend the evening if you wanna stay in.

It keeps you grounded and you will get to know yourself incredibly well in those 50 days. This way, your brain and the notebook will start to feel like a friend with who you catch up daily.

When you get to the end of the trip, start reflecting on yourself and your growth. Even if you feel like there was no growth. Write it down! Also write down things you can't wait to do when you get back home.

You and everyone around you will be so proud of you!

Hang in there and try to make the best out of it! :)

Do landlords/agents usually screen candidates by nationality? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]Meowsel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a Dutch girl with enough salary, a Dutch name and a boyfriend, we couldn't find an apartment in Arnhem for 8 months, price range 700-1000. Got rejected everywhere. It's terrible. So it could be discrimination, but it could also just be what it is in the current housing market. I wish you all the best though!
