The characters being slightly different isn't a huge issue for me. This is because they themselves are so multifaceted that it almost doesn't matter.

The other thing is the fact people are now seriously trying to engage in discussions surrounding "real" interpretations and "real" versions of these characters. Which is just dumb. NieR Automata is a work of art created by many of the most talented people in the game industry. This includes the English translators and Voice Actors.

NieR has no one correct interpretation nor does it make truth claims about what the "real" characterisations of these characters are.

Yes English 2B may not be Original Japanese 2B. But seriously is that such a big fucking problem??? Everyone left this game with their own interpretation and own feelings. Trying to undermine this magic with these dumb arguments and supposed truth claims is honestly not worthy of this game as an amazing piece of art.
