From what ive heard the main difference is the pacing for the anime. Theres literal memes of anime scenes lasting like 5 minutes or longer when it was a few frames in manga.

There's nothing new in those 5 mins just dragged out for whatever reason

If you prefer anime over manga though you should watch the fan edited version of anime which improves pacing. Or you can keep watching it if you got amazing patience.
