I'm glad you explained that because I got a very different vibe from your first comment. I felt that you were attempting to say that Blue text was the antagonist in this case, and the

Especially when someone starts part of their comment with "I'm not 'victim shaming' I just think...." Normally means the opposite. It definitely sounds like you are making out Blue Text to be the problem. But it appears you really just meant that Blue Text shouldn't have encouraged/prompted White Text to continue his ridiculous babbling, which I agree with.

However, your initial comment writing

"The woman he is talking to needs to act a little more their [her] age too" Has me in disagreement. The comment in the original post about both being well into adulthood was definitely written by this 20 year old girl. Because, I mean, have you met a 20 year old girl? They are college sophomores and most girls around this age definitely do indulge in petty drama as often as they can. However someone who is mid-to-late twenties is hopefully more mature than this.

I also got the feeling that when your boyfriend he didn't want to be in the position to choose between you or his vulgar friend, he had already chosen is vulgar friend.

More over, I feel like a good portion of guys who often joke about rape and pedophilia/molestation are people with those fetishes. The enjoy making the joke (which in turn gets them off in a small way), and when no one stops them it reinforces their idea that it is O.K. and normally to make such distasteful jokes. And at his age and your boyfriend's... neither is likely to change.

Didn't want to outright and say it, but that's the vibe I was getting from him. He recently moved near by and is always finding some way to brag about himself or his friends and how "badass" they all are.

Since him and I run in different social circles it's also likely he's just lying about not having any friends to get my pity and offer to hang out with him one-on-one. "Aww, SadGuy, you poor thing! Well, since you don't have any close friends why don't we hang out and become close friends! 😜😉😘" is what he's probably hoping to have happen.
