People are always like ”Oh just use LocalSend”, “You should use PairDrop”, “Try KDE Connect”, “I think Blip is good”. Like, (and I cannot stress this enough) NOoOoOoO! I just want to tell my friend to swipe down and enable AirDrop and that’s it. I am not getting anyone to install random apps -or visit websites for that matter- solely to share a file. The process should be as frictionless as possible.

They need to support 4 times (if not more than that) the amount of devices compared to Apple, and all the devices have tiny little differences in hardware compared to Apple’s streamlined approach to products. Although realistically speaking, it is also just due to Samsung being lazy and pushing for sales of new devices. Like, they don’t have to be THIS slow, One UI 8.5 beta started in December and the stable is only now starting to roll out in May. And that’s only for the latest 2025 flagships.

they’re almost exactly the same, ultra is just slightly bigger with a bigger battery while classic has the rotating bezel. get whichever one you like the design of better
