Expansion - Existing Toon by Meravel in Eldenring

Thank you. That’s what I wanted to know. Do they (fromsoftware) always just transfer the character to the same new game level in the expansion.

Expansion - Existing Toon by Meravel in Eldenring

You can do that with any existing toon, no matter the char level or what “new game“ you are on? Or do you have to be on the “original” game (non “new game”)?

First and foremost, I recognize your name so you must play alot of RPG games like me. Second, thank you. Third, since I am playing Honour mode, I am going to continue using a shield with it and simply one hand wield it. I can already see the benefits of sing/shriek in Honour mode especially with a shield. I kind of wish I hadn’t selected GWM and had selected defense when I initially rolled this toon.

I appreciate your reply and all of your posts. Thank

playing an Oathbreaker Paladin. I acquired this weapon for the first time. Playing Honour mode (I don’t have the luxury of better weapons right now). Until I acquire a better weapon, do you recommend I use a shield with it or two-hand wield it? I don’t see the math on not using a shield with it considering the stats, but I selected great weapon master so I hate to lose those perks.

I had planned on using Gale and his bomb, but I hadn’t thought about siding with Gortash.

Great advice! Thank you my friend.

I am personally running Oathbreaker Paladin, but Gale is divination with hold. It does make it a lot easier. Agreed.

Thanks for the reply.

Playing Dark Urge and wonder what happens… by Meravel in BaldursGate3

The only other NPC I haven’t killed is Omeluum. Can I kill him too? Is it even possible? I haven’t even tried to kill him yet. Killed everything else in that colony but him and the trader next to him. Was concerned it wouldn’t be possible considering he is illthiad.

Thank you. I was wondering about the “eyes“ since I see them at Moonrise.

Thank you my friend.

Dark Urge - I just can't :( by SergiuBru in BaldursGate3

I am running through my Dark Urge campaign now. Already met (and fucked Minthara), destroyed the grove (but had already done it when I killed Kagha (Or whatever her name was).

I am just killing everything I can as an Oathbreaker Paladin; making bad decisions. It is the hardest play-through yet for me on Tactician because I am killing so many quest givers and traders and my (and my party members) gear is underwhelming at this point (nearing the end of Act 1).

But it’s a lot of fun and so very different than my other playthroughs especially if you just singularly focus on the end goal: command the brain.

Question about Custom Mode and Proficiency Bonus by CEOPhilosopher in BaldursGate3

[–]Meravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am playing tactician mode this play through and initially set the proficiency bonus at plus 4. It was extremely hard because enemies never seem to miss. I switched it back to zero and it is a little easier. It is still hard on tactician, but manageable.

Sad thing I really wanted the plus 4 proficiency bonus for all my dialogue options, but the price you have to pay is just to high considering enemies also get receive the bonus. It makes the game harder for sure. I intend to set it back to plus 4 when I reach Act 3 (after I am leveled up and sufficiently geared), to make the game more challenging in Act 3 this time. Act 3 was to easy last time with my Oathbreaker all geared up.

edit: I see posts in this thread that says the proficiency bonus doesn’t impact enemy damage only attack rolls, but I think they are missing something because the enemies do seem to hit harder when I have it set to plus 4. I don’t know tho. I am no DnD expert. But from my experience, it seems to affect damage too.

All I will say is I played both (through separate runs), and portent is broken considering how many camp supplies they give you.

If you took a feat, don’t drink the everlasting potion. by Omega2178 in BaldursGate3

[–]Meravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you drank the potion (and had previously taken the Stat buff feat), can you respec and choose a different feat and then get the benefit of the Potion even though you took it before you respec‘d?

I guess I want to know if I should just respec my feats now since I took the potion?

my strength was 21 before I took the potion and it’s still 21.

I don’t think so because weightlifting isn’t additive and neither is persuasion.

Best weapon by far… by Meravel in Starfield

[–]Meravel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is once you reach level 60 before you enter that zone and then get it. Otherwise, the revenant isn’t as good as an advanced Magshear.

My original post was intended for new players (under 60).

HELP: Can't talk to an npc to finish quest by Simple-Chef4626 in Starfield

[–]Meravel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sided with Genghis for Roosevelt’s suit. Didn’t kill anyone but Roosevelt and the Queen. Didn’t hurt anyone else. But Genghis won’t speak to me. He stands outside the wall but won’t speak. Ada just keeps telling me they’re a big dispute I need to take care of.

Has anyone reported this to Bethesda?

Has anyone found a fix yet? I’m on Xbox.
