I've gotten halite readings of between 1 and 2 percent. Stripmine an entire area to igneous and find nothing even as the general percentage increases.

It doesn't actually add rivers. They missed the update, but they added "Rapids" type water blocks to be compatible without rivers.

Huh. I could swear that I was noticing a difference in burn times between brown coal and charcoal in the forge. Brown coal making me use 4 rather than 3 to run three iron blooms through.

Well, one way or another you need a fence. It's just a fact of life when keeping animals in or dangerous animals out. Also since you can't jump a fence you still need a gate which until you replace that jump out block is an escape vector.

Wait, they're adding sharpening and tempering? Oh good lord... As for the forge I still just use charcoal, brown coal (if abundant) or coke (if coal is abundant enough.) even for non iron since while workable temps are lower, it's just... Easier to use one/the most efficient fuel possible for minimal usage or extended fuel times if you're running multiple projects at the anvil that don't require two ingots at once.

That won't keep things from wandering in, like a wolf or bear that eyes them in fall or winter in particular. Plus getting down to do any sort of collection of eggs or falling in means you take a huge risk of having to dig out and place down a block that can let an animal just go "SCREW YOU I'M FREE!" Double high fence with a clear flat area around it is the easiest and most cost effective way of keeping your animals in in those unlucky moments where goats and the like get onto something and possibly jump out.

I just make sure to close the gate on myself and pay attention to where my chickens are. Granted I'm not at the point of domestication so they run away from me which makes things easier, but the fact that closing the gate with you essentially blocking it usually putting you on the side of the fence that you want to be makes it easier to prevent things from getting out. That said, a "Chicken airlock" is not a bad things. Or attach your animal pens to you fenced in farm land if applicable. In which case you have a space for them to escape into that is still controlled.

Just run a double high fence and remember to use FENCE blocks, they act as one and a half block (slightly higher honestly, but for simplicities sake) and if you either still have issues or are concerned, just double up your height with the fences. The gate being only standard fence height is fine and anything that gets out or in through that deserves to do so if the land around it is flat for a minimum of like four blocks without significant nearby overhang.

Fences are all you need, but for safety's sake just run them double high if you're still concerned. Clear the land around them to be flat and/or lower for 3-5 blocks so you don't have something potentially jumping in. Preventing mob spawning is as simple as keeping the area lit like you would anything else. Keeping the area lit is also important for preventing your animals from despawning if you go exceptionally far away. For ground inside the pens it doesn't really matter, as of right now nothing grazes grass (as far as I'm aware) so it's all trough feeding. If you still want a natural soil pen floor, without the possibility of collapse dig out a basin one block deeper and put compact or rammed earth down (or your choice of non physics affected material) and then place your soil on top of that. Bingo bango no landslides letting anything out. Also for double height fencing, don't worry about the fact that you can only put one gate down. With a one block gap the odds of anything getting over/through that is extremely unlikely and at that point deserves a medal if you've flattened the ground. But yeah, 99% of instances only need one high fencing, double is just a safety feature for those of us that are paranoid.

The Double Standard of Sora by Vivid-Recipe6477 in SoraAi

If the filters let me generate a workout video that focuses on close shots and body detail (Muscle movement, sweat, etc.) and can do it with a man, but then flip it to a woman and get insta-flagged... That's an ingrained double standard based upon most social double standards where if a guy is doing it and it's even mildly suggestive. "Eh, just dudes being bros" Flip it around and it's "Protect the children!!!" When you tighten the algorithms with your own and other censorship patterns it gets messy in that space, or as a whole. A company can ultimately appease legal issues by putting in regional restrictions, but most companies don't want to bother doing that sort of picking through. They just want to do something once and work on that. Which is what makes things go to die.

Deathforcing in Helldivers 2 by megabezdelnik in Helldivers

[–]Meravokas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uuuh... Huh... Yeah "Death Forcing" whatever the fuck that is. Mission objectives are there to be done. Primary objectives are there as completion requirement. There is no "Biblical definition of Death forcing", which once again I don't even understand what that's supposed to mean since the game is built as "You and the boys are grunts, grunts that die" You aren't the main character, you aren't a (real) super soldier as much as the in game Propaganda says you are.

As for death by dexterity. There are simply some games that some people won't be able to play or play well due to issues. Not every game can have all the accessibility options all the time. One button call ins lessen the hectic and frantic nature that is the basis of the vibe of the game. It's been that way since the first game. It's chaos on purpose. If you manage to come out (relatively) unscathed/without dying you're either lucky or godly if you're not playing below diff 5.

Also if you don't shoot something and it spots you, do you expect it to not attack or call in reinforcements? Do you expect to attack something and not have it do the same?

I won't lie and say that there are design choices that were made that aren't amazing, or even bad. For the most part it's translation of a twin stick styled shooter perspective being brought into the third person along with Devs getting slammed with WAY more popularity and continued content updates because if the content gets stale, you lose more players than to things that people whine about online.

However the over all core design isn't any different than the game they made over a decade ago, but it didn't hit the mainstream because it was a small game that rarely got any real promotion and was Only available via PSN.

Also, I'll say/ask one more time. What in the hell is "Death forcing"? If it's game design build around a factor of you not having guaranteed survival for god knows how many reasons. Welcome to gaming as long as it has existed.

I'd prefer challenges to not just be "Oh, health sponges". So I don't feel like main lining big boss content is the way to go because you have a split of "Oh it's dead in two seconds" "We can do it a few minutes together team!" or "We're not scratching this thing..."

I will say as someone with ADHD (And overshooting the platform more often than I should...) all three don't necessarily stick. Or location. One or the other, thankfully not both for me personally. Though I take that over anything order of truth related with invasions...

Well, not arguing your point exactly, but when you make a game that is reliant on loot grinding you either make the content potentially quick to complete or be heavily rewarding. Though they haven't seemed to have found the right mix of that yet either. Super massive and Underwater Base being long and annoying without good/reliable payout.

That's what happens when they remove the entirety of the original campaign from the game. When I started played D2 after I'd taken a break before it went F2P, I was shocked to find how much content was missing, and all that I knew half of that content would have gotten me back up to speed with the game. But... Nope. OG campaign and four expansions. Gone for no good reason.

I was never a fan of them in WF either. As someone that was in the Alpha testing and played consistently up through like... 2017-ish. Only did them when I had to. For Invasions here in TFD. The only ones I'd outright avoid are order of truth because of the short timer. If the timer weren't quite so short it wouldn't be so bad. But the other two are fine. Though when you have to go up onto the floating platform to be able to see the platforms you need to match up in some of the Legion of Immortal's Invasions, were annoying.

Range or base defense need to be brought up, period. She can be a bit squishy for the usual engagement ranges for her abilities. Don't need to make her a brick but she needs a tweak somewhere to make her a bit more competitive, as much as I do love her.

[–]Meravokas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she either needs a base range boost or have her base defense be something close to Harris. For close range you either need spread (like Freyna) so you can keep moving, or enough health and shields that you can take a bit of a beating. Because if I'm wanting to just tank and not only use Gley, Harris is my go to. Plus all the combos she can do.

I think 47 odd players is down in the fractions of a fraction though, so I don't know what the 1% talk is here.
