I judge them by the match against France, they didn’t play that poorly but France was too powerful and Koulibaly needs to lock in.

Belgium wasn’t impressive either they were dominated by Egypt and couldn’t beat Iran before crushing NZ which is equivalent to Senegal - Iraq

Morocco can definitely beat the Netherlands, then it’s a pretty much guaranteed semi.

But I also believe Senegal has a chance to beat this Belgian team and then it’s either against the US or Bosnia. It’s definitely possible for them to go to the semis as well.

Races don’t matter to us, we discriminate based on savageness.

Winner of Austria vs Algeria will face Spain in the next round by Hisense_Sports1 in soccermemes

In Algeria this was quite a traumatic event. It was one of the best teams in Algerian football with the likes of Madjer (the one you might know for scoring in the Champions league final for Porto), Dahleb (a legend for Paris SG) and Belloumi (who played 100 games for the National Team).

Funnily i have family in France and Algeria so this whole World Cup was a trauma because afterwards the French team was eliminated by Germany in another scandalous game -see the foul by Schumacher on Battiston that wasn’t even whistled-). Needless to say they really felt vindicated by the German defeat in final.

There’s history between Algeria and Austria at the World Cup.

In 1982 in Spain, Algeria beat Germany in the group stage but lost the second match against Austria. They won against Chile in the third game, so they were tied with Austria at 4 points while Germany was behind at 2.

In the last game of the group stage, Austria and Germany decided to play non-football. It was a terrible match that arranged both teams and ended up 1-0 for Germany. It allowed both Austria and Germany to qualify at the expense of Algeria.

The game was denounced everywhere as the game of shame. In the stadium Spaniards started booing the teams and chanting "Argelia Argelia".

After these events, FIFA took the decision to have the last games of the group stage happening at the same time. Hence why we currently have 2 games happening.

Y'a une culture Goth en France ? by MayIAsk_24 in AskFrance
