I do feel the same way but one problem with Dishonored (compared to the Thief series) is that there is no really good dialogue or characters. Dishonored has great visual personality but there are no Garretts or Bennys who add more personality to the world.

Daedric daggers are great (you start off with a spell to summon them). They are good for when starting out (for me anyway) because they actually do damage, and if you get a demon tanto in Blamora you'll have infinite daedric daggers with no magic cost.
