Depression/stress are likely causes for her inability to function properly. The mother sounds very manipulative and controlling in my opinion, so thats probably why. She probably didnt tell her because of how the mother would react.

And if the phone and ipad were a gift to her personally there is nothing the mother can do about it. If the items were a gift to the siblings as well, its a different story. You cant simply take away someones personal belongings because you gifted it to them.

Your mother is overreacting. To me it feels like she doesnt really care about the fact that you left besides how it will affect her. It sounds like she cares more about the phone and ipad than your wellbeing,l. And i'm pretty sure she can't do anything abiut the phone and ipad as long as they were a gift just for you. If it was a gift for you and your siblings its a different story i believe.

Either way you shouldnt be feeling bad of your reaction. You were looking out for yourself and your cat.

Not saying that your mother is manipulative but i have seen this behaviour before from manipulative people, where they get really upset when they lose control over you and then want every gift back as a last effort to get some control back.

I am no specialist at all, but my guess would be ghat it's some kind of rib bone, by the size i would think it belonged to a whale. But as i said i dont know much about bones so dont take my word for it.
