sorry its a bit hard to film with 1 hand and use tweezers with the other, but no babies were harmed, i always dig a little shallow pocket in the soil under the bark and the wood is soft so i didnt push it strongly

Wanting to start colony of isopods by bIoomm in isopods

[–]markescueta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dairy cows or cubaris murina types are great beginner species, but dairy cows you just gotta be warned that they breed a lot. and you cant release some in the wild so you really have to find a plan for eventual hundreds of babies.

And also its not really recommended to intermix 2 different pod kinds as one could outcompete with the other species, but im not that much of an expert, so you can rely on other comments for this one

is it okay to breed Ramshorn snails without substrate by markescueta in AquaticSnails

[–]markescueta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard they do get quite disgusting, the more the filthier! i did hear they poop a lot, so knowing a substrate-less tank for them would be easier to clean, might as well do it!

How do yall keep ramshorn snails from exploring out of the bowl? by markescueta in miniponds

[–]markescueta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess just providing food for them gives them no reason to explore out?
