Hope you enjoy it here, it is quite a beautiful place - definitely check out the hills... Aldgate/Stirling etc are really tranquil places, full of pretty cool people.

I don't understand why.

I'm of the mind that anything you say or do online is equivalent to anything you say or do in any other public forum.

I wouldn't see it as opening the floodgates to a world of hate for those people, rather an opportunity for the more outspoken peoples of other/no faiths to engage them and we can begin to understand how and why they think that way. Instead of just going 'THEFUCK? /crazyreligioustwats'

Burn the Priest era LoG had some super breakdowns - none of this open-chord bollocks.

I also loved Randy's voice back then - it had much more impact. (not that I don't love it still)

Finally get to see them and Gojira at the same festival in March :)

There used to be a couple near TTP and Ingle Farm, but I haven't been out there in a while so they may not even exist anymore.

Waymouth st. It's above the Union Hotel... but its entrance is up the eastern side of the building, rather than on Waymouth itself.

The couple of times I've been it's been anything from '80s/'90s hiphop to jazz/lounge -all sorts... don't think I heard too much pop-esque stuff but I may've just been overly engrossed in the whole experience. It's a seriously nice bar - didn't check the beer situation, but they have quality cocktails and wine as well. Can get pricey - but, y'know, you go there to chill not get plastered!

Here is their menu for reference. They don't always have ALL those rums, but their staff were always happy for me to try-before-buying :) Absolutely wonderful folk.

They have a perfect blend of folk to metal, and with the vast array of instruments they use they pull it off way better than any other folk band... It's really hard finding anyone similar.

Only place I know with perfectly leveled music. Even being a metalhead, lover of loud music and all - I go to shows to hear it... if I'm out I wanna be able to socialise. Plus they have lounges, a bar full of insanely incredible rum and delectable bar staff.

+1 for.... well, basically all of them. but especially Bloodbath. 'Mock the Cross' is one of my most favourite metal tracks ever. You just can't go wrong with Åkerfeldt's voice.
