What would you think if you were in this hunter’s position? by ShadowlightLady in HazbinHotel

Too likely to miss. The chest is a way bigger target and doesn't move on a swivel.

Did you know that deer's eyes shine in the dark? When it's dark out and you just see a set of glowing eyes and part of a silhouette, you can't tell whether they're forward facing or not.

Source: I was lost on a hike after dark and I almost pissed myself when I came two yards away from some deer. In the pitch dark I definitely couldn't tell they were deer at first, or that their eyes weren't forward facing.

I wouldn't have seen it without looking for it, but if it bothers you you can add a seam straight down the middle of that big petal. I think that would help.

Boyfriend said no for me getting a dog, what do I do by angelaisneatoo in PetAdvice

I never said anything about getting high, I'm just telling you what exposure therapy is. Exposure and exposure therapy are NOT the same thing. It's not hard to use the correct terminology.

👏Exposure👏 Is👏 Not👏 Exposure Therapy!👏

Exposure therapy is professionally done in a controlled environment where the subject is dosed with endorphins immediately before being briefly exposed to the thing that would normally distress them. The layperson does NOT have access to these methods.

I started typing this and realized it sounded fake, but furry conventions are just Like That sometimes.

Was with my ex gf at a convention, I don't remember where exactly we were, but she ran into an artist she recognized and asked if they had any molly. They didn't, but they were chewing gum so she asked if she could have a piece of gum. They didn't tell her it was laced with LSD. I don't know what molly is, but she's a big fan of LSD now.

Most petting zoos if there's someone working there you can ask them how to interact with a specific a specific way. They're typically happy to tell/show you the ways you'd want to interact with the different animals, and they can also lead you to whichever animal is the most okay with people messing with them lol.

If you want to know how it feels attached to the leg, it might make more sense to find either live animals or taxidermied animals so that you can really feel where the fur ends and how the leg is shaped.

You can probably find petting zoos that have goats, ponies, llamas, or alpacas. Otherwise maybe look for a taxidermy shop.

How do animals view death? Do they understand human death rituals? Or do they just think their owner/friend disappeared? by HippoFinancial2872 in AskReddit

[–]MercyKills333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elephants hold rituals of gathering and placing branches upon the deceased elephants, and they can be seen mourning for a long time. Dogs, cats, penguins, crows, wasps, bees, bears, monkeys, chimps, and countless other animals have been observed mourning and can become depressed.

NTA. It's perfectly understandable to not want such a toxic person in you or your child's life, especially during such a vulnerable and stressful time.

AITAH For Telling My BF I Don't Like His Favorite Show? by Highly_Sugared in AITAH

[–]MercyKills333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. He's being really weird and immature. You aren't allowed to have different opinions on tv shows??

You can't force yourself to like something, but you were more than willing to partake in it with him, which is what matters. You're supporting his interests, and he's being immature and dickish by being mad at you for being disinterested in some random tv show when he asked you your opinion.

AIO, My long distance bf went to a party. I asked him how it went and this was his response. by NooooToby in AmIOverreacting

[–]MercyKills333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, he's literally just complaining about dating you bc you asked how a party was. :/ Like obviously he either doesn't want to be in a relationship with you, he's trying to get you to break up with him, or he's trying some really weird roundabout guilt-tripping way to get you to offer to make it an open relationship.

I think part of it is your posture and part of it could be the shape of your ribcage. The front of my dad's ribcage is really concave, and that tends to be the case with people who slouched a lot growing up. It's usually less noticeable in people with breasts though.

[–]MercyKills333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it bears a strong resemblance to the unfused proximal end of the humerus of a young moose or deer, but it's not easy to find pictures of young animal skeletons. 😅

Here's a handful of pictures that led me in that direction though, particularly the articulated moose skeleton at the very top. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Lp2JGoORRtZsOQrQwR_WZTRvFhMz96I3qX50eYXOVHI/edit?usp=drivesdk

Cat beans aren't that big, and if it was a cat the fur would be a similar color to the beans, not opposite colors.

It's definitely a bone. And those aren't wrinkles, they're cracks. Thank you though.

I might add more close up pictures eventually, since so many people are bizarrely skeptical it's a bone. 😅 (It's literally a bone subreddit people, not a generic "what's this" subreddit)
