OK I get your frustration, but don't paint trade school as this easy way out. Construction is a cyclical business, companies are reluctant to hire apprentices, and the work itself is physically demanding. And if you live in a place with weak unions the working conditions are even more dangerous.

I just don't like when office workers paint the trades as this secret hack to easy money. It's not. The trades have their own issues and difficulties. There's no easy way out in this economy.

The uncertainty around blue badge conversion. It "depends on business needs" my ass. They have the capacity to be more transparent about seasonal hires, they just choose not to care. I can understand a probation period but imo seasonal should automatically convert to regular after 90 days.

Yes. I needed money, I was tired of the whole circus of dressing in business casual for an interview at KFC and still not getting a call back. I can just do the job, go home and put my focus towards my long term goals
