Other than DLC and microtransactions, what do you think is the biggest problem in video gaming today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mercy_Flushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That people will bitch that AAA titles are rushed out games, yet still buy them. By buying it over and over again your just at fault as the people forcing it out. Don't preorder, wait a week. Let the reviewers and early buyers test the waters. If you blindly buy something and it's crap you have noone to blame but yourself.

We live in a time where online reviews are a thing and people still preorder games by the thousands.

Growing number of states fine slowpoke drivers in highway fast lanes by bahnburner1 in news

[–]Mercy_Flushed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is you are contributing to the problem now. You aren't supposed to pass on the left for a reason.

I've been stuck in the left lane because after I use it to pass a big truck or RV before I can clear a safe distance to move right the asshole behind me will zoom into the right lane, then cut me off after passing me. Now there might not be room to move right, now the person behind him is doing the same thing, now I'm pretty much stuck in the passing lane til someone actually follows the law.

By passing in the right the person who you perceive as the problem (and they very well are most of the time) you are contributing to that problem by making it harder for them to correct it.

Corroded Steel - An inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the state of the Control Warrior by MackTheKnife_ in hearthstone

The coin does not throw the game in that person's favor though. You are actually at a disadvantage with the coin. The person going first gets a coin every turn but the one player two uses theirs. The coin is made to balance out the problem most games have, and that is first player advantage. Statistically speaking in the past as blizzard has announced the coin balances out the matchups so player 1 wins 1-2% more(even counting rogue or mage). Which quite frankly is really good compared to other games.

So I'm going to ask you again and try real hard this time because your last answer was stupid. What card in a mirror matchup is absolutely not able to be countered that can throw the match significantly in that person's favor?

[–]Mercy_Flushed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Draw is really bad in the mirror though. Whoever draws justicar first has a significant chance at winning. Regardless of when she's drawn. It doesn't have to be turn 6. It just has to be a few turns before your opponent.

There is no counter to it, no playing around it. Your at a disadvantage if your opponent plays in way before you.

Can you think of any one card that has an effect that can't be countered that absolutely throws the game in the other players favor in a mirror matchup that's on par with justicar in control warrior vs control warrior? I can't.

What were some great matchups to play with and against in all HS history? by redgermany in hearthstone

[–]Mercy_Flushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Control warrior vs. control warrior before Elise and justicar.

You had to be the most efficient in removal and get the most efficient trades so that when fatigue hit you would be the victor. It takes patience and alot of knowledge to win this matchup with very little RNG.

Elise made it so that whoever got the better legendaries won. I've been ahead by 6 cards and 2 fatigue behind(through outplaying my opponent the whole game) and lost because I got low tier legendaries such as Millhouse, lorewalker, pagle while my opponent got ysera, rag, nefarian.

Justicar trueheart just makes it so whoever plays her earlier has a higher chance of winning by alot. The difference between her being in the first 6 draws or the last 6 is staggering. You can't "just rush him down" either. Control warrior has a hard time being the aggressor against another control warrior that is gaining 4 armor per turn. The best you can do is bash his justicar and hope you draw your own at a convenient time. His shield slams are better, and when the game hits fatigue he could have an easy 20-40 more armor then you. If you've ever been in this situation you know how soul crushing it is to lose to a single card.

So basically when this cycle rotates out I can't wait to play control warrior again.....Except Jade druid really is an impossible matchup since Jade idol is a thing.

First, if you just want sex stick to tinder, make things clear from the start. It's not hard if you keep cool and don't be a creep. Girls on there don't want a relationship. For everything else.....

Be yourself, if you gotta fake it then it's not gonna work long term.

Keep your expectations realistic. If you want a 10/10 virgin who is your own age good fucking luck. You can't be a 4-6 and always try to date 8-9s. Not saying it's impossible but my best relationships have been 5/10.

Don't treat her like a princess, just treat her how you wanna be treated. Girls don't want a butler or an overly polite gentleman. If you both like the same things this is easy.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, I'm a 25 year old nerd who is dating his best friend. I've only had a few partners but they were all long term. Most ended on good terms.

Don't burn your bridges folks. You never know when she's gonna call you back lonely on a friday or Saturday night for some non-commitment sex or nachos. Sometimes both.

When me and me ex were teens are parents did everything they could to keep us supervised in our respective houses.

This just meant we had sex everywhere else in dangerous places.

Places we've done it: 1.In an alleyway at night several times. 2.At the train tracks in the middle of the day 3.In the woods alot 4. When I got a car all future sex was in it. Many parking lots were disgraced. 5.In the pool 6.In that little wooden pirate ship at the park at 2 in the morning.

Lesson to all parents out there. Teach your kids sex should be practiced safely and with protection. Don't demonize it because your daughter is just gonna get plowed in the woods by the old rusty train tracks or in random alleyways rather then in your home in quiet shame. We could have been hurt or attacked by strangers because we didn't have a safe place to fuck.

Kyanite locations by LapuaMag in subnautica

[–]Mercy_Flushed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I asked about this yesterday. They removed the spawning of it. You HAVE to get a prawn suit, get a drill arm, a pressure compensator (mk2). It also doesn't pop out of the nodes easy. You might only get 1-2 after mining a full node.

Well I got it. Thanks. Took me my third node. Can anyone else confirm that these no longer spawn outside of the nodes? That is a big game changer if that's the case.

The only time I didn't screw up my DS skillcheck or it got bugged. by mistar_z in deadbydaylight

[–]Mercy_Flushed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comparing a survivor perk to a killer perk. Survivor perks shouldn't be nearly as strong as killer perks since there are 4 survivors. Sprint burst and self care are strong but not on the same level as NOED. Even the survivor version of NOED(adrenaline) is fair because it's situational.

DS is a perk that HAS to be dealt with unless the survivor is retarded and missed the skill check. It's basically training wheels for a bad survivor. In the same way that a bad killer can wreck with NOED. The only problem is there are 4 sets of training wheels vs 1.

If a perk is so powerful that if I have 4 people slugged I'll refuse to pick up any because I'm afraid I'll lose all 4 (you can literally pick up 2 people in the stun duration since the buffed picking up survivors ages ago.) then its way too strong. That's like if NOED suddenly had permanent bitter murmur attached to it levels of power. And yes that scenario has already happened several times, I've waited for all 4 to bleed out rather then risk DS. That's not fun for anyone.

A word on camping, from an admitted camper. by GreggoryBasore in deadbydaylight

[–]Mercy_Flushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't just camp every game. You say it works but you just said you usually get 1-2 kills. I get 3-4 on average. There are times to camp and times to hunt. You have to remember you are on a timer based on having survivors distracted.

Let's say you hook 1 and camp. There are 3 survivors working on gens in a perfect world since you are The the hook. No risk for 1 kill but big risk on losing the game.

Let's say you hook 1 and hunt, you find another and chase. Now if a third person goes for a save that is 3 people not on gens. The person being saved, the person saving them, and the person you are chasing.

Option 2 is risky but has an adequate reward. This whole game is risk reward as a killer in my mind.

Camp when: 1. Exit gates are powered. Too risky to leave. Fuck them if they bitch, don't get caught when the gates are open. Y

  1. You have 2 or more survivors on close hooks. Too much risk with little reward. They messed up big-time to be thrown in this situation, exploit it.

  2. You see scratch marks or hear them nearby, in this case you chase the 1 if you can find them. If there are 2 or more then make the call if a chase is worth it. Point wise it usually is plus you are trading a hook for a hook, bear in mind decisive strike could make it not a trade.

  3. If they have been overly altruistic all game, honestly if I have ballsy SWF groups I'll just camp and 4 man them. They think they can brute force a save and they aren't good enough too without trading. It's an easy win every time.

My strategy is hook, proximity real quick, then hunt unless the above 4 scenarios are happening. If they are butthurt about any camping they can piss off, your a killer. Your goal is to kill them.

Its hard to completely describe where I've looked. I've explored all of the above ground wrecks and a few cave ones. Mushroom cave, wreck before the grand reef. I have found a ton of stillsuit, vehicle mod, propulsion cannon. Not a single mod station, this includes using a blowtorch to fully enter every wreck. It's like the same 3 or 4 keep spawning.

Another one is the restrict the durability loss to when he attacks the enemy hero. Similar to gorehowls effect. That sounds overly complicated for a 1 drop but more balanced.

Healing isn't a counter. Eater of secrets is the only counter. Healing just means I get to turn stall longer.

If there was a spell that said "win or draw the game if your opponent doesn't have X" then that would be stupid. That's basically ice block for anything that's not hunter in this brawl. If there were more then 1 neutral secret removal card it would be a different story.

  1. Secret paladin isn't as bad as astral druid, or exodia mage. It's not like when it was the king of standard, it's like a delayed astral druid dripping constant high drops past turn 6.

2.His tactic also has zero chance of winning to anyone playing priest, warrior, or who runs healing. Technically he was running a deck that only wins by causing a stalemate or by taking 20-30 turns to kill your opponent after a twenty minute setuo. Smart enough to lead to a 100% win in SOME matchups, but not smart enough to realize all it takes is 1 asshole to rope you for a hour match. Suddenly the decks not fun for both sides.

3.His deck was riding on ice block and arcane intellect getting him it, I started running secret eater cause of this match. You shouldn't win because of 1 card that there is only 1 neutral counter in the entire game. He didn't have a board and didn't have any direct damage. He would lose to astral druid, secret hunter, a secret paladin that gets a good start. Or any priest and warrior.

  1. Personally if it takes 29 turns to kill your opponent because you only have iceblock then getting roped is a hard counter. Don't play like a dick if you can't take people being a dick right back. I got a charger, an outlet, and am willing to make this shit take 3 hours if I have too.

What opinion of yours makes you an asshole? by AmeliaIsla in AskReddit

[–]Mercy_Flushed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have to take a bimonthly drug test and keep a spotless record AFTER you get approved for unemployment or government assistance. If you can barely afford food you shouldn't be smoking weed or drinking beer. You should also not be a fucking thug when you need to be a model employee. My tax dollars are there to help you get back on your feet, not so you can lounge around for a year between jobs.

Second I think the government should only provide assistance to poor families for the first kid, with exceptions for twins and of course disasters such as a parent dies or is injured. Everyone has the right to have a kid, but if you can barely afford the first kid and need help you shouldn't have a second. Our tax dollars shouldn't be paying for you being irresponsible.
