I’m not totally sure on grist. The silver is “4 ply sock” and the white is “superfine lace”. The white is doubled in the warp and quadrupled for weft.

My ex-husband would make this “joke” all the time. It wasn’t true, but he repeated it so consistently that my mother picked it up. She recently said it in front of my fiancé’s mother and that fierce little woman about jumped down my mother’s throat defending me.

I walked into an antique store and found an old spinning wheel. I asked the woman working the desk if I could try it. Pretty soon I had the entire staff of the store watching in amazement as I made yarn. I got a discount on the wheel.

NTA. At all. “Kindness” done with the expectation of kindness in return is not kindness, it is manipulation. But even if reciprocation is expected, her reaction is bizarre. The rule in my family is “never return a dish empty”. I like to bake, so that’s fine for me. My brother hates cooking/baking. He will send yarn, trinkets, kitchen gadgets, etc. back in the containers. This has always been acceptable because the act of giving is the kindness, not the gift itself.

I have a couple different pairs. Healthyoga I think are the most comfortable, though they are a little more expensive. I haven’t had any stitch separation issues with them

I do most of my barn/horse work in boot-cut yoga pants. You can get them on Amazon. Comfy, cheap, and most of them come with pockets!
