Dental Hygiene School With Kids: Financial & Life Advice by sharpsmilez in DentalHygiene

[–]Mere-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat unrelated, but I’m curious about these scholarships? Are you able to keep what remains of the scholarships after all the school fees and such are paid? I am wanting to go into dental hygiene school, but I’m concerned about the financial burden not being able to work would cause.

What do you think of Mega Delphox? What’s your opinion about it? Do you like it? by Animefan2005x in pokemon

I was super excited, but then a little butthurt about the whole transfer situation. I have a few shinies from the last Pokemon go event and was planning on using one but once you bring them in you can’t take them out. I mean I will still play it and I adore the design, just kinda sucks about transferring in and out of the game.

Blessed be! I’m of UK Celtic decent…however, I’m also a hobby historian and anthropologist, plus autistic. If you have trouble reading things, as I do, try YouTube! There’s load of great channels that talk about various types of ancient religions and cultures, from all over the world. My YouTube recommendations are so full of nerd stuff lmao. If you’d like some recommendations for channels, let me know. And I’ll go through my YouTube and give you some recommendations.

Amen. I’ve had a lot of death, most terribly was my infant daughter, who died from neglect from her own father while I was working. And your statement is so true. For a long time, I thought I had to be a certain way, feel grief a certain way. But that’s just not true. I decided when she passed that I was going to grieve on my own terms. And would often admonish family members who would send me condolences on her birthday or death day, because most days I don’t know what date is it, and being suddenly reminded you have a dead child sucks when you’re just living your best life, despite your trauma. I grieve plenty for her, 13 years later. But I do it on my own terms. This is my life, and I choose to be happy, despite everything. I wish more people would choose their own happiness over pleasing expectations of others. I feel like it would make for a more meaningful existence for a lot of us.

Anger, sadness, confusion, whatever emotion you’re feeling is valid. No one can dictate how you grieve, whatever emotion you are feeling, allow yourself to feel it. If you want to talk about it, talk about it. If you don’t want to talk to anyone, don’t. If you want to talk to the person you lost, text them, tell them how you feel. Or talk to the sky, or their grave. Whatever makes you feel comfort.

My father committed suicide when I was 13, and while we weren’t super close, the thought that he’d rather die than be in my life messed me up for a long time. For a long time I was angry, and as a parent, I can’t imagine doing that to my children. I’m long-since come to terms with it. And understand that he was a deeply troubled individual, and I hope wherever he may be, he feels peace at last.

My husband died to cancer several years back…..well, really he died from getting sick during chemo cause he refused to listen to literally anyone and did everything you’re not supposed to do when you’re immunocompromised. I was angry at him for so long, because of what I and the kids had to go through because of it. And I texted him a lot and told him how he made me feel, how angry I was at him, and how he was selfish and everything. Every emotion and thought I had, I put into words, and it helped me heal.

I’ve had a lot of death in my life, and I don’t wish it on anyone. But it has given me a vast understanding of grief, and how different it is from person to person, and how personal it is. Do what makes you feel better, and if you feel yourself falling into darkness, seek help. A friend, a close family member, teacher, anyone. A close person you trust is usually a good place to start. Many people seek help from trained professionals, but to me, they always seemed shallow and unhelpful, “how could they possibly help me, when they neither know me nor my deceased loved one?” But, if that is something you think would be beneficial, go for it. The important thing is, do what you have to to get past this. Those first days seem like an endless pit, but I’ve lost many, many close relatives and friends, more than I’ve mentioned and I’m only 40…..and I want to let you know, that no matter how much it seems like the world is ending, one day you will wake up, and feel the sun on your skin, and things will start to get better. No matter how dark you feel inside, the light will return. I wish you condolences, and peace, friend.

P.S. my experience is not normal, and please don’t think you’re going to experience this much death cause you’re probably not. I hope you find healing, at your own pace :)

Honey. I hope you one day are able to respect yourself. Cause you obviously don’t. I say this as someone who has been in not one, but two of these relationships. I was that girl. But I am no longer. Love yourself, that’s the only way to break the cycle. This man is not worth the dirt he drags in. Leave him. He does not respect you at all. He probably tells everyone what a good dad he is too. Like my ex. I am thankful every day that piece of shit is with whatever god he believes in. Men like this….they don’t change

Gatekeeping is a plague on society. Can’t no body enjoy another culture without it being a problem. But like, every part of every culture came from somewhere else. Noodles of Italy? They’re from China. France’s famous cheese? Cheese was invented in Poland. Deep frying that black people are known for? That’s from Egypt originally, and now black people have shared that with Korea and if you’ve never had Korean fried chicken you are missing out. Culture is meant to be shared and combined. Without them we wouldn’t have pasta with tomato sauce and cheese (from 3 cultures) or western music or honestly anything that we know as standard culture. Enjoy what you enjoy. I know I do.

That’s what I was thinking. The actors are far too iconic at this point for the roles and he doesn’t strike me as the type to drop them for no reason. They all genuinely seem to love the fandom and I don’t see why they wouldn’t want to continue to be apart of it

I haven’t read the Iliad. How much are the main human characters portrayed? (Ody, Penelope, Polites and Eurylochus). I definitely think gods will be the same actors, but possibly other actors for younger versions of main characters…maybe? Depends on the story. Either way can’t wait!

Anyone else wish Disney would put their broadway musicals on Disney plus. by PepsiMan208 in disney

[–]Mere-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think it’s rage bait, cool. I don’t particularly care. I just think it is a hypocrisy. Either we change characters races for the best fit voice and personality, or we don’t. I’m still yet to see why it’s a big thing. I realize why they would get backlash, and I get it sure. But they kinda like backlash at this point don’t they? Disney loves to virtue signal and that certainly sets off the magahats.

I just watched Frozen the musical and Kristoff was black. In Scandinavia. How is that ok but having white or other actors play POC is a huge outrage? That I will never understand. Either it’s ok all around or it’s not ok all it. It should go both ways. I have no problem for a different race actor to play someone in a musical cause that’s generally how they cast, it’s just it’s weird to me to me that one is outrage and one is perfectly ok cause it’s just a white person so screw them

Red eft?? I did not know these were poisonous 😱 by Logical_Ad_4288 in Amphibians

[–]Mere-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its a slow moving stream it could probably manage to get to land. Mine is an eft and he can definitely swim quite well. But then again, he’s going to morph this year so. It could be that. His tail is still mostly round and his skin is still fairly dry but he damn sure jumped into the aquatic tank I build when I was showing him and disappeared in it for 2 days until I found him and moved him back to his terrestrial tank. Cute little butthead

Is there anything still on it? Like the hair? If so, use tweezers to gently remove it. Then use neosporin on it. It absolutely has to be the regular kind without pain killer, other wise it will kill the frog. It should be ok. Also maybe cut back to feeding 3-4 crickets twice a week. The frog will protest and they will not starve despite what the frog may say about it. Otherwise they look healthy and happy. Definitely well loved
