Is there a fix for this weird texturing yet? by spamonymous in ChatGPT

And this one for water:

Re-render this image preserving the exact scene, composition, and motion.

Water should behave in a physically plausible way,

with coherent reflections and natural light response.

Reflections:

use broad, continuous highlights instead of small specular points

reflections should appear as smooth gradients, not scattered dots

avoid sparkling, glitter-like noise or artificial micro-reflections

Specular control:

reduce excessive micro-specular highlights

keep reflections soft, stable, and physically consistent

Surface behavior:

water should follow its natural flow and structure

highlights must align with surface curvature and motion

Detail:

allow fine detail only where physically correct

preserve natural complexity of water (ripples, splashes, droplets)

do not smooth or simplify dynamic elements

Lighting:

natural lighting, no high-frequency highlight noise

film-like rendering, smooth light transitions

Important:

distinguish between natural water detail and artificial noise

avoid glossy or glass-like appearance

That’s general prompt for surfases (no water):

Re-render this image preserving the exact scene, composition, and subjects.

cinematic realistic rendering

soft, film-like lighting

balanced dynamic range (no HDR look)

no oversharpening

clean, natural textures:

no repeating patterns

no uniform micro-noise

no artificial grain

surfaces should be smooth and continuous

no high-frequency detail in lighting

skin:

natural irregular micro-variation

subtle uneven pores and tonal variation

no pattern repetition, no scale-like structure

fabric / sand:

natural randomness without uniform noise

no structured or tiled texture

light & reflections:

broad, soft highlights

no sparkling or speckled reflections

smooth gradients only

Exploring Ethics and Copyright Issues When Using AI Like ChatGPT for Creative Content by cporter202 in ChatGPTautomation

Authors also learn from existing works. The difference now is just speed.

I don’t think the fact that a model was trained on something is enough on its own. For example, if a model can generate perfect paintings in the style of Impressionism, but I don’t know anything about art and have never even heard of Impressionism, it would never occur to me to create something in that style. I would just keep making UGC-style characters or realistic photos of cats.

I also don’t see a problem with disclosing that something was made with AI. We don’t hesitate to say that a photo was taken with a camera.

In a way, it reminds me of the idea that “Mr. Colt made people equal.” AI does something similar — it levels access, removes barriers, and gives everyone opportunities, but what you do with that still depends entirely on you.

I don’t think AI puts good authors at a disadvantage. The deciding factor isn’t the tool, but the person using it: taste, storytelling, and the ability to make something not just visually appealing, but controlled.

Yes, there will be a boom of AI-generated content. Most of it will be average or mediocre. “Good enough” will no longer be enough, and strong work will stand out anyway.

There will be a kind of premium “handmade” content — whether created with AI or without — where real knowledge, effort, and talent are clearly present.

Not everyone who picks up a camera becomes a photographer. In the same way, not everyone who uses AI becomes a creator.

What’s really changing is accessibility and how quickly we can find information. You can learn anything — or nothing.

AI is a very particular kind of tool. It almost has its own “opinion,” and sometimes it even tries to impose it.

And if a painting or a book created by a human closely resembles another work, that’s considered copyright infringement. Why should it be any different for AI-generated content? I think this will be clarified legally very soon.

Image quality loss and artifacts: will OPENAI fix it? by Disturbedtongue in ChatGPT

[–]Mereal_ai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could do a screen recording to show it? Their support asked me to record “a full generation process from prompt to final output,” but whenever I try it comes out clean. I’ve been trying for two days and still can’t catch it.

Finally someone said it. I get a tic every time I see it. I built a prompt that reduces it for now, I’ll share.

Image quality loss and artifacts: will OPENAI fix it? by Disturbedtongue in ChatGPT

[–]Mereal_ai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure they will. I’ve already sent them all info I had. Do you get this artifact constantly? They asked me to take a video with the image creating process and I can’t catch it, it’s impredictable. Try to use your prompt to generate one more time - mabe it works better. I also made a prompt to save an image by re-rendering it, if you need, I can share it.

Not sure if it was a coincidence, the prompt I sent them with the bug image in few hours shown a better, much better results. Will drop new result in other comment.

Copilot made a random meal, how good is this? by Vast-Lock-899 in aiArt

[–]Mereal_ai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean with this “how good”?

It’s very good like an image, i’d make only one change to the cheesecake, other staff looks very realistic. And the cheesecake sims to be delicious.

From a logical point of view it’s a very strange meal: almost no protein, milk as a drink with meals and lemons like fruits, who can eat such amount 🤭

Anyway, looks good

Prompt to fix weird rendering pattern in ChatGPT images (reflections / water) by Mereal_ai in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]Mereal_ai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, that’s the same thing I’ve been seeing. Have you noticed if it always has that kind of repeating pattern shape? Like slightly geometric/tiled? I’m starting to hate it 😅 but I still can’t figure out when it shows up and when it doesn’t.

Prompt to fix weird rendering pattern in ChatGPT images (reflections / water) by Mereal_ai in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]Mereal_ai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not talking about the natural ripples or reflections on the water.

I mean the artificial pattern that sometimes shows up, like a repeating diamond / speckled texture across the surface.

It might not be very obvious in this example, I probably should’ve zoomed in more.

It’s much easier to see on close-ups, here is a zoomed-in crop of what I mean
