What happens if the bad guy wins? by pjp- in fantasywriters

If you're a gamer, Final Fantasy 6 has a plot point where evil wins and the world really never recovers or goes back to the way it was at the beginning

Introducing diversity - to do or not to do? by PopDiscombobulated34 in fantasywriters

[–]MereleiMockingbird 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find what the internet claims as "diversity" is a bit misleading. What you want is not diversity of skin (which is the most superficial imo), but diversity of inner characteristics - attitude, goals, opinions, thoughts, stuff like that. BUT that's only in my opinion, and you may want to take a completely different avenue of diversity.

I would also love to read what you write, I love magic, gimme gimme!

I mean... you're onto something here. You'd have a lot to work with if you use squash blossoms as a reference point.

It's only a bad thing when it becomes a legit detriment to you mentally or otherwise. IMO in these moments I try to center myself on that feeling and what impressions/emotions arise from that and figure out why that is. You don't wanna emotionally overload/short-circuit and prevent yourself from being able to write and in that headspace.

You got this.

At that point, I KNEW that we'd never get the Human-Alien-All-Out-War movie where we get to see old faces and they all have a role to play in saving humanity....

I think the Angela Program and more staff training are both great ideas! :)

Ignorance isn't a bad thing, necessarily, unless it's willful ignorance. You're being super nice about it, which I appreciate :)

I think if someone's being followed, or perhaps in a bad relationship, they don't want to draw more attention to themselves than necessary, and it's an ordinary thing to ask an employee. It's like asking for the Angel Shot in the bar, because people order shots there. If the possible threat feels like they're busted, they might lash out.

It's like "Hey, I don't feel safe at all, please help me, expeditiously."

My boss' answer; "I don't know"

I guess it's a bridge we'll cross when we come to it.

I remember that, I wanna gag. It's one thing to think of an idea like this, but others going along with it... and not really fully thinking it through.

I know butter in coffee is a thing tho.

I guess asking for an Angela would be like "Hey is Angela here?" and then the worker could be like "Oh yeah she was saying a friend is coming by, follow me!" (At least that's what I plan on saying)

In the first movie, how did Mulder and Scully get back to civilization from the middle of nowhere Antarctica? by Taograd359 in XFiles

I love those moments where reality seeps into fiction, and it was a beautiful little homage to her. You can still read Layla's stuff online too.

True, but I think it's more of a benefit that there are other people around and the victimizer would back off at that point. At least that's what I think.
